we love staying there,it was so nice we sat by the pool and visit with family and had a picnic.The staff was great!! we stayed there last year and will be going back next year.The rooms are very clean and breakfast was good.They are re-doing the hotel and the staff said they do that every 5 years,like i said we will go back!!! Hi, my stay in Corpus was a great one enjoyed the off time, when and saw the Lexington, and just relaxed at La Quinta, never made it to the marina. The location, to my business was great, air condition was running when I arrived. Breakfast addressed several directions, I tried all.

I stay at this property at least once a month and I always request a downstairs room and to date I have never recieved one. On this stay my room had an off scent to it-almost like some one had spilled motor oil in the room. The occupants of the room next door talked in a loud voice till 11PM. Prior to checking out I called downstairs to have my folio mailed to and there was no answer. I went downstairs to check out and the the desk person was outside. I waited by the desk and a team member that was moping noticed that I was standing by the front desk asked if I had been helped. When I responded that I had not he proceeded to look for the desk person and found her outside. She apologized and stated that she was outside looking at the rainbow.

My visit was very unfortunate. I stood in virtual empty lobby for approximately 20 -minutes before hotel staff show up to greet me. Once in my room, placed my luggage and proceeded to Rest Room. I noticed, "tub stopper" was removed from bath tub drain and placed on edge of tub. Thereafter, I began to wash my face in the sink. I waited for hot water to come up to temperature, the sink began to fill; although the "sink stopper" was raised approximately 5/8 -inch above drain. By the time I finish wash and rinse my face, the sink was approximately 1/4 distance from bottom to overflow. Shortly afterwards, and as I was going out for evening/night, I personally spoke with receptionist about my concerns/ issues. In short, she would get them taken care of... I returned to my room early morning, removed all my clothing and packed away in plastic bags, cleaned up and went straight to bed. I woke up at ~ 10:00am, felt some itching, saw a couple/few "bumps" and, did not think much of it/them other than maybe a little "hotel soap and/or water" allergen. Therefore, I "pulled out" and use brand specific items began to clean up. As I lotions myself, I noticed distinct "bites" and "itching". I checked out of hotel and, met with my family and extended family. During hindsight and review: Bed Bugs Got Me! In the end, this was a very unfortunate stay too include some unfortunate visitors.

Our stay at this La Quinta was due to a death in the family who lives in the NW Corpus Area). Upon check-in there were no Deluxe King non-smoking rooms available; this was due to "a high occupancy "over the Labor Day weekend. Being LQ members, the manager on duty was very helpful /efficient and gave us a complimentary room upgrade. Due to the circumstance this allowed us to check in, shower, change clothes, and spend time with other family members prior to the funeral. This La Quinta appeared to be quite new and easily accessible at McKenzie Rd/IH 37, Corpus Christi. The lobby and breakfast area decor was very nice and this facility also had a nice swimming pool area and small exercise room. The presentation and quality of the breakfast food was very good; it was much better (seemed fresher) than most other LQ we have stayed at in the past. Over all we would highly recommend this LQ to other family members and friends. The entire staff was very efficient and friendly. We appreciate all of their help and assistance which made our stay a pleasant experience; particularily during a difficult time and the loss of a loved one. Texas-Divers (from Houston)
