"Staff friendly"

We stayed at the LQ on Emert drive for 8 days while on vacation. The staff was friendly and hotel was clean. We didn't like the breakfast selection not much variety and didn't like that the pool was shared with a sister hotel. If you have never been to pigeon forge be prepared to sit in traffic while getting around, while at the hotel a guest was complaining that the traffic was a disaster and we couldn't agree more. Overall our stay was nice.

"Just ok"

Room smelled like a closed up basement and seemed to be coming from the air conditioner units. Sprayed Lysol and didn't help at all, smell got on our clothes and everything had to be rewashed when we got home. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Room seemed damp, and after showering and drying off, it was like we couldn't get completely dry due to the dampness. Hair in the bathtub and did not report it because I always bring cleaning supplies and take care of it myself. It looked like it fell off a housekeeper as she was cleaning and can happen to the best of us. Staff was friendly. Housekeeping staff was friendly, and kept us supplied as asked. Lobby was nice and so was the complimentary breakfast. Make sure you can be reached at all times in case you leave your pet in the room. You could be charged $50.00 if you do not return their phone call within 30 minutes. Happened to us while we were in Dollywood, still daylight, and received a call that our dog kept barking and other guest were trying to settle in for the night. Be sure to read what you are initialing and signing, because that detail was not explained upon check in. This was the first time ever staying in a pet friendly hotel, and it seems not all pet owners are tolerant of other's barking dogs. Once we were in the room and settled in, I could not hear other barking dogs....only when I went into the hallway, could I hear another barking dog. Will not be planning on bringing our dog with us again, so I am happy to say, we will not stay here again...even with friendly staff.

Near all attractions you could want. Very quite, clean. Breakfast well stocked. Best comply beds. Walking distance to many eateries. The desk clerks (Angela) are great, the staff are attentive and helpful. Will return here.

My family and I recently stayed at the La Quinta in Pigoen Forge on Emert St. It was an enjoyable experience. The staff was wonderful. So cheerful and attentive. The room was very tidy and clean. The location is quiet and that's saying something on the parkway in Pigeon Forge. We won't stay anywhere else when we visit the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area.

"Returning guest - again"

Was just logging in to book again for December and looked at some of the reviews. I wanted to give my 2 cents worth again in all fairness to the staff. We have stayed at this hotel several times and have gone through 2 stays with the renovtions going on. It was a little bit inconvenient and a bit noisy, but did not bother us at all, the improvements are great. The front desk staff is superb, especially Marcia. Someone gave her a poor rating, and I feel this is extremely unfair, she goes the "extra mile" for the guests. Several of the staff members were more than helpful to us on all of our stays there, even going so far as to hold our dog while we grabbed breakfast. We were not overly impressed with the housekeeping people on our last stay in March, they were very slow cleaning the rooms and were sitting on the floor in the hallway chit-chatting. We had to ask them to clean the room and give us tissues, coffee, etc, things that should be taken care of every day. Yes, this is a great pet hotel, but we never had a problem with any of the pet guests. It might be a good idea if the staff did book pet families in rooms on the same floors though. Pet people are more tolerant of each other and appreciate a hotel where pet families are treated so well. I am booking again for this December because of our previous stays at this hotel.
