We arrived at La Quinta Inn about 3pm on friday for a weekend stay. Check-in as well as check-out was very easy.The room was clean and up to date. Being on the third floor we felt quite secure in the room . The included breakfast was ok but not the best we ever had , the hours for breakfast on weekends was 6-10 am but on weekdays only till 9am and the selection was limited.
The hotel is a convenient short distance to Busch Gardens Tampa. All in all this was a good place to stay and we enjoyed our long weekend very much.
As a side note there is a La Quinta on Busch Blvd closer to the park and with slightly cheaper rates but I was not very happy there and only stayed there once and only for one night .
We stopped here for 3 nights. It was a nice place to stay overall. I liked the fact they had a pool and hot tub and a daily continental breakfast with several choices, including make your own waffles and that the coffee was available all day. There was no restaurant on site, but plenty on the strip and also a room service option with many choices, which we did not use. The hotel accepts pets and my only issue was that there were no dedicated rooms for people travelling with pets. Our room was very clean but I did notice areas throughout the hotel where there were stains on the carpet. Our room had two double beds and no microwave or mini fridge, which I would have appreciated during our stay, but it did have a desk. Definitely a good value, especially with our AAA discount! Perfect location near USF which was our goal to be near.
Upon arrival I was greeted by an extremely welcoming and informative front desk attendant, the hotel is clean, the room comfortable to attend to business, cozy bed, room had a comfortable layout. Small garden area with sitting , outside pool all made the hotel seem less like a chain. Breakfast was usual hotel fare. Close to USF, would definitely stay there again.
beautiful landscaping, well kept lobby, hallways, rooms and bathroom. Only compliant was housekeeping woke me with a knock on the door at 9am and then again at 10am - even though checkout was at noon. Never felt rushed to "get out" before at any other hotel 3hrs and 2 hrs prior to checkout. I would stay here again - but be sure to put the "do not disturb" sign out the night before.
Had to stay in Tampa due to my husband needing surgery at Florida Hospital. The room was simple, but clean and comfortable. My daughter and I slept very well and were very glad we chose this hotel online. Though this wasnt a vacation, it was nice to take a few moments to relax poolside and use the hot tub. The pool area is really very nice and clean and quiet. The only thing I would change is that we were on the 4th floor, which is the only floor with no ice machine AND I think they should have mini fridges in the rooms!
