"Bad Experience With Front Desk Clerk, Name Dina."
Reviewed Apr 24, 2013

I called La Quinta, several times in Pueblo, Colorado to make a reservation, and front desk clerk by the name Dina, put me on hold, and never came back to help me. I called several times after that and she would either hang up on me, or not answer the phone. When she finally did answer the phone, she was very rude and told me that she was going to charge me a higher rate, because she only had 9 rooms available. Well she was not honest, because when i showed up, they had an empty parking lot.
To make things worst, the next morning between 9am to 2pm, a real loud noise starting coming from the room above mine. They noise was do loud, that i could not hear my television. Some one was hammering and drilling very loud for 3 1/2 hrs straight.
I finally had enough, and i called the front desk. I told the clerk, i think her name was Samantha, about the noise. She apoligize, but that was it. I told her that i wanted to make a formal complaint with the general manager about the whole ordeal and that i wanted a discount. The clerk told me that they had signs in front of the Inn explaining about the Remodeling. I said, wait a minute, i made my reservation long distance from San Antonio, TX and the rude clerk Dina, never mention the noise nor the remodeling.
I am very disappointed with this hotel service. I will never stay here again!!!!
I have stayed at other La Quinta's in Texas and New Mexico fir the past 8 years, and i was never treated like this.
My honest opinion is that front desk Dina should be FIRED!!! She is the clerk that works from 2pm to 10pm.
I'm often at LaQuinta's and I seem to have a knack for staying at hotels under renovation, which equates to noise. This is no exception ... at least until the end of May. I accept that renovations are a part of the evolution of older hotels, but it would be nice to have notice when making a reservation, or to ease up on the rates being charged for the inconvenience. Outside of hammer and drill noise, the room is very clean, comfortable and easily accessible. Part of an area with many hotels and 3 breakfast restaurants (Crackerbarrel, IHOP and Village Inn), all within walking distance, which is great as I'm not a fan of any hotel's complimentary breakfast. Instead, work out a deal with the adjacent restaurants and give me a discount any day. And the Front Desk Staff was very nice and personable. And I'm hoping this LaQuinta abandons the perky orange bathroom scheme with the new renovation. Three rating would have been a four but for the noise, and hoping it transforms like some of the other LQ remodels I've seen.
The front desk reception person was so personable on check in. After a long drive in a moving van, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. The beds were so comfortable. I would defiently recommend this property to friends and family traveling through the area.
I spend over 100 nights per year in a motel and this is my favorite. The rooms a modern and clean and the staff a always very friendly. They still offer and maintain smoking rooms which is a plus for me.
My only request would be the same for everywhere I stay and that is I would like to see the breakfast offered start at 5am instead of 6am.
A nice clean hotel room. Clean bathroom, friendly service, noon checkout and even has coin operated washer and dryer on the third floor. Comfortable beds, clean linens/towels.
Walking distance to Cracker Barrel
Little perks for being on the road from California.
