Traveling through the area I usually continue on to Glenwood Springs to stay at the Quality Inn there, which is really nice. As it was late I decided to stop here instead. While the room was clean and comfortable, I was disappointed that there was no refridgerator or microwave. Otherwise there was nothing special to make the place stand out. I pass through the area many time each year and have gotten to stay at many nearby hotels that are better and in the same price range. So summing it up, there is no reason not to stay here, but you can probably do better.

By renovating, this La Quinta has become one of the best. Nice new art on the walls and the whole place looks fresh. The rooms are spacious, the staff is very accommodating and the breakfast is generous. For anyone passing through Grand Junction, you can't beat this place for great value.

We'd had a hard day getting to Grand Junction and it was very nice to have a smooth check-in into a nice and clean room. The service here is excellent. We had requested a room on the first floor because I have a mobility problem which makes evacuation in case of emergency difficult, something which has happened twice on this trip (once for a tornado in OK and once for a false fire alarm) but ended up on the third floor. This is a problem for the La Quinta reservation system since they don't communicate with the Inns until the day of the reservation although I made the reservation 6 weeks before our arrival. The location is easily accessible from the interstate and they have cooperation with a very nice restaurant. The rooms are very comfortable and it is a good location if you have a dog with you.

This was our second time staying in this hotel in Grand Junction. I love the sunny bright decor and nice open lobby and pool area. My kids had a great time in the outdoor pool. The breakfast is pretty good enough options for the whole family but nothing hot but waffles. I really wish they didn't have double beds...they are too small...but at least they were clean and comfortable. There is some highway noise from I-70 but not too major. Easy to get to all the places you want to go in Grand Junction.

When you first step into the lobby and breakfast eating area, the impression is that this is going to be a great place to stay. Due to arriving early, we left our bags at the front desk until our room was ready. Front desk staffer (blonde young man, didn't get his name) was very accommodating. We came back late afternoon and checked in. Honestly, this room was very disappointing. My husband and I are blondes, and nothing grosses me out more than finding dark hairs all over the floor and counters, as I know for certain that they aren't ours. The air conditioning didn't keep up very well and we felt stuffy during the night even though we set it to about 68. The counter was wiped very quickly and there were visible streaks and spots, along with the hair. Hair on the floor. Hair in the tub. Not a fresh smell, either. The carpeting was older and I really didn't trust walking barefoot based on the condition of the bathroom. The breakfast was only OK. Only protein was hard boiled eggs that I had to peel. I think that there are other places to stay in the area that would be nicer than this La Quinta, so won't be going back, unfortunately.
