"The pool hours are ridiculous!"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 29, 2014

We stayed here after a long day of driving. The night shift clerk, Cory, was fabulous. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Unfortunately, he's the only part of this hotel that we found impressive. The rooms were very average (no plush comforters like we have come to expect from La quinta) and the bathrooms were definitely in need of an update. The pool closes at 10pm (which is standard) but doesn't open until 10am! This is what really doesn't make sense to me because most hotel guests travel late and want to get on the road early--the pool doesn't accommodate that at all. The hot tub was broken:-( The fitness room had two awesome treadmills with two not-so-awesome stationary bikes. Breakfast was very disappointing for a La Quinta. There were waffles, boiled eggs, mixed fruit from a can, and the standard choices of breads and dry cereal. It was more of what I would have expected from Motel 6. Even though this didn't effect my family, a couple who came down just a few minutes before 9:00, were having to race the server as she was taking all the food pretty much out from under them--a big hospitality no-no. The batteries on our door lock quit working so we were locked out of our room for about 20 minutes, but the repair man did apologize for that inconvenience. The hotel is easily accessible from 75 and is within walking distance to restaurants and gas. Overall, the stay was average at best. For the price, I think we could have done better at another hotel. I hope they don't ever lose Cory; he is a big asset to this establishment.

"quick night stay"

Just a quick one night stay for a sporting event nearby. Overall very satisfied. The room was as expected, beds were comfortable, size very reasonable. Slept through breakfast so can't comment. Noteworthy was my interactions with the staff, absolutely wonderful. Checking in late (after 10) the clerk was very personable, recognized our name and had gone above and beyond. She noted a cancellation to one of the rooms we had, due to changes in travel plans, and was ready with the extra pillows requested on that reservation, for the second reservation we had, that didn't have that note. Very impressive. The next morning, spent a little time in lobby while the rest of the party got ready, and noted multiple interactions from the morning clerk and others, again all very positive and upbeat with each person that entered. If the need arises, would definitely stay again. While this isn't a 5-star facility, it is well worth the price and makes for a comfortable rest.

"Average 1 night stay"

My family and I stayed here on our way from Houston to Oklahoma. It was average. The rooms seemed a little run down and non-smoking rooms still smelled faintly like smoke. The front desk employee was very friendly and knowledgeable and the breakfast was good. The room it did its job but I doubt I would stay here again.

"Comfortble and friendly"

We stayed here for 1 night, and the room were very spacious and comfortable, staff was very friendly, and breakfast was good with waffles, and the standard continental breakfast. The coffee was the best that I have had in a long time. The outside pool and hot tub were nice, and the hotel has also added a pergola, and gazebo in the outside court area next to the pool. This was a good stay overall, and I would come back.
