"GREAT HOTEL"

I was amazed at how friendly the staff was a the front desk and VERY HELPFUL as well...I was also COMPLETELY SATIFIED with the room...It was VERY CLEAN and the mattress was AWESOME...I will not hestitate to stay at this property again!
Had two rooms, both were very clean and comfortable. Had the conference room for a graduation party and the staff was tremendous in helping us set up. We could not have asked for a better experience!!!
Where to begin...when I arrive the front receptionist place me in room 148, when went inside the room, the lights didn't work, there was trash can in the room, and worst of all the AC unit was old so you could see the dirt and spider webs on the vent. I immediately went back to the front receptionist and asked her to place me in another room. The second room (107) smelled like smoke, carpet was disgusting (wore my socks the whole time), and the sheet smelled of sweat, the counter in the bathroom was broken and the shower head had old water stains. In the morning I took a shower and the water coming out of the shower head was very piercing and shot out everywhere. I also noticed I had stained the sheets a little and move the comforter back so they could see what I did. When I came back to the room after work, I pulled the sheets back and to my surprise they didn't change the sheets, they left the same ones on with the stain on it. I called the front desk and told them that thier staff didn't change the sheets or bother to emply the trash, they even left the towel I used on the floor. I told her this hotel is disgusting. The following morning before getting into the shower there were several spiders walking around the in bathroom I had to get my shoe and kill them. All I know I was so releived that I was checking out. I will never go back and stay at that hotel and I do not recommend anyone to stay there.
"Meh place...if I were booking, I wouldn't choose this place."

We travel to Hunstville at least twice a year for work related events. I don't make the reservations for my group, another person does. They think this is a great place for the price paid. I would rather we stayed elsewhere. I have never seen bugs or their presence in my room, so that is a big plus, but the overall quality of this place is rather rundown. The room I had this time had either paint or stucco from the wall spattered on the bathroom tiles. The outside corridors are rusty, dirty, etc. The ice machine looks like it belongs in a horror movie. I never eat the breakfast and pack my own because one year we were down there EARLY right after it had started and ALL they had was apples and oranges. That was IT. When asked they said that was all they had. I believe that has changed over the years, but I never want to chance it so I dont even go down there. Everything looks old and dusty. PLUS I dont like the idea of outdoor entrances in a town with many prisons.
Our car club stayed here, unfortunately for three nights. Several members had to change rooms since the air conditioning would not work. A couple had to change because the toilets backed up and could not be fixed. We did not have any problems in our room. It appears they put some fresh paint on the wall since our last car meet that was held here 8 years ago. Rooms are very old and doesn't appear housekeeping is picky about the rooms being clean. Our bed was comfortable though. Would not recommend staying here. The only good thing is that you can drive up to most of the rooms. That is a plus when you are travelling in an old car.
