Wonderful hotel! Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable. Hotel is very close to DFW and there is a Parking Spot just down the street, within walking distance.
We especially enjoyed that we didn't have to pay extra for our dogs. We will definitely stay again!
I arrived Friday evening the first night of my stay. The counter person was very friendly and nice. However, I was informed that not only was the room I reserved not ready, I would have to wait at least an hour. I had three options: wait, take a smoking room or two doubles. I elected to take the smoking room. When I got up to the room, there were no linens and the room had not yet been cleaned. So, I came back down and decided to wait. After an hour and 10 minutes, I was called to the desk to get my room key for what I assumed was the room I had reserved. I go to my room, open the door and found it was not a king with fridge and microwave. It was a double. I was so tired after having driven so far that I decided I had no desire to haul back downstairs and potentially wait yet another hour for the room I reserved. It was already almost 9pm and I had not yet eaten supper. While the counterperson was friendly, she never mentioned I was converted to a double. Nor did she make certain to amend the amount I was charged for the king. I had to go the front desk to check out and inform the personnel working that Sunday morning that I was overcharged. After a few minutes of them trying to say the rate I had reserved the King for was less than what the double was, I finally got them to take off $10. At this point I am so unhappy with the unnecessarily aggravating events of this last weekend I am seriously examining whether to ever stay at a La Quinta again, with so many other options available. Here is where they failed: I prepaid on my credit for the room I reserved. The room is paid for and therefore, no one else should get it. Whether they have a personnel shortage or not is not my problem, and not informing customers of this from the outset is wrong. In addition, not mentioning the fact that I wasn't being given the right room was also a failure. Finally, there should have been some attempt to make this right. I certainly was not asking to stay somewhere for free. However, customer service is key. Had I been on the other side of the counter I would have insured the customer walked away at least moderately satisfied. I had to argue to get $10 taken off when, in reality, I should've been given the cheapest rate and maybe some other incentive to stay there again. Given neither of those things, I honestly think I will never stay there again. In spite of the fact that the rooms and the grounds were immaculate and well-maintained. The aggravation is not worth it. Very disappointed.
In a day and time that customer service is no longer trained for or taught, I was FLOORED to find it at this LaQuinta!! The reservation person was OVER THE TOP fabulous! Very friendly and helped me with adjusting my reservation. When we arrived, the front desk gentleman was fast with our check in, kept a smile on his face, and was COURTEOSE! I simply COULD NOT BELIEVE I finally found some place with customer service and a fantastic environment! You better believe my husband and I will be coming back and LaQuinta definitely earned permanent customers!
We stayed one night at the LaQuinta near the Dallas Airport on our way home to Alaska. We were very happy with the accommodations. The room was clean, quiet, nice breakfast, excellent service, pool and center courtyard were clean and nice landscaped. There is a nice gazebo to sit in to visit or have morning coffee. We didn't expect such a nice hotel to accept pets and have a great grass area for walking. We will definitely stay there again.
This was a good value for money hotel. Situated 3 km from the Airport and close to Walmart (just across the highway). Lots of restaurants in the area. The staff was not over friendly, but the comfort of the rooms made up for it. Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds and fresh decor.
Breakfast was adequate. A recommendable hotel.
