Hotel has nice check-in area, lobby, and breakfast area, beyond which is the outdoor swimming pool. Self-serve luggage carts/trolleys were available to assist in getting luggage to the room. There are multiple entrances from the parking area into the hotel, accessible by using the room keycard. Hallways appeared to need vacuuming, some grit and small particles of debris were visible.
The room was pleasant and attractively decorated. This room had 2 double beds (soft, possibly past prime), a desk and chair with a charging station for electronics (phone, tablet, computers) and free wi-fi, drawer space and closet. Nice sized bathroom with sink, toilet and bath tub/shower all in one room. However, the entrance to the bath is through double doors (like French doors), but there was no lock on the doors. Unfortunately, there was a hair in the sink from someone previously in the room and some dirt in the bathtub that we washed off prior to use. No refrigerator or microwave in this room, but there was a one cup coffeemaker without a carafe, but small hot beverage cups were available for brewing coffee. Only one small garbage container in the room, so had to decide if it should be in the room or the bathroom. The AC is controlled by a thermostat on the wall and can only be lowered to 65 degrees, which one would think would be adequate, but when the air has not been running until you enter the room, it makes for a warm room for a while. No ceiling fan. Nice full length mirror in the entry area and another mirror that could be used for perhaps putting on make-up or putting on a tie.
Good selection of items for breakfast as mentioned in other reviews.
For the price, it is a good value.
In town for Mercer football game and needed a pet friendly hotel. Front desk personnel were very helpful with check-in and provided exact directions to stadium. Our room was spotless and very spacious. Food pantry was a plus, we were able to have a midnight meal at a reasonable cost. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone.
We booked this hotel via Priceline. When we walked in we were surprised that this hotel is only a 2 1/2 stars. The lobby is beautiful, large, with a lot of light. We were greeted with a smile and checked in so quickly. They didn't even require a credit card since we had prepaid. The halls were colorful and cheerful. Not the usual dark halls one encounters with a 2 1/2 star hotel. Since this hotel was newly renovated, the halls had beautiful carpet and vibrant color on the walls to match. When we entered the room, we felt like we were at a 4 star hotel. The bathroom had a double door. The shower had a strong force which was delightful after being on the road. As mentioned in other reviews, there was a desk with enough outlets to charge several electronic equipment. The TV was HD, and the AC was a new unit. Plenty of space to store clothes in drawers and a closet. I slept 9 hours until my husband woke me up. The bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows. I understand not everyone enjoys the same pillow type. But from my experience , you have to pay a lot more to obtain a pillow menu. The room includes a continental breakfast and includes: bananas, apples, bagels, doughnuts, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, milk, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, a selection of juices, coffee and tea. My husband and I had a great stay here. He even said that we need to remember the hotel so we can come back whenever we pass through. We were able to walk to 1 of 3 restaurants near the hotel.
I read some of the cons of the hotel. I did not experience the same. I tend to have high expectations and found myself delighted with this hotel. We will return.
Hotel was clean and inviting, nice lobby area. Room was good sized and in good shape. Unfortunately the bed was lumpy and the pillows were from a rock quarry. This coupled with a "moist" room, gave me only a few hours rest and a Saturday on the couch to recoup, get some sleep, and clear my stuffed head.
The wife and I needed to travel to Macon to wish her aunt a happy 83rd birthday. Near her home was a La Quinta and numerous restaurants so we decided that would be a good place to spend the night. The hotel is not new but has gone thru some renovations in the recent past. The lobby and breakfast area is clean and very spacious. Check in was flawless. The only negatives about the room was a A/C unit that sounded like the space shuttle lifting off and a shower curtain needing a washing to remove the smell of mold and mildew. And for some strange reason the toilet seat did not fit the toilet properly. But all-in-all the location and the rate was just what we were looking for.
