Stayed there five nights with a group. Would not chose the place again. a. The staff was always competent and friendly. No issues there. b. They do a lot of group business so, each night, we would have a new group of mostly young people in the place. Hall noise was an issue, though the front desk did respond to complaints. c. The door between our room and the next was paper thin so we could hear conversations and TV noise. The AC fan noise was our only salvation as it masked some of the neighbor noise. d. The place needs a little TLC. Walls are dinged and the elevator interiors have taken a beating over the years. e. Kids did enjoy the pool. That would be a highlight and, if people complained about noise, it was probably kids in our group! f. Breakfast was just fine. Big groups could swamp the attendant but we always found a variety and, if something was missing, she worked to replenish supplies. So, all in all, the place worked out ok but I wouldn't chose it, if given a choice.

"Giving it a generous 1 because the bed was comfortable"

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it was one of the worst stays all the years we have been coming to Flagstaff. We often go to Flagstaff to get away for a few days. Because of the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to give LaQuinta I try. What a mistake! Will not stay there again. So disappointed ?Staff not trained properly trained. When we called the front desk because the TV didn't work, the lady at the desk responded: "I don't know what to do. The maintenance guy left for the day". My husband ended up fixing g it himself. ?Even though we booked by phone several weeks in advance, none of our requests were met regarding the room ?Breakfast was horrible, we went across the street to Cocos every morning ?Ice machine noise intolerable. Does a person really need to get ice at 1 in the morning? ?Pool had lots of noise after 10 p ?Two buses full of teens came on day two, which I'm sure added to all of the loud noise. ?On the morning of checking out, I let the young lady at the desk know about our stay. She didn't ask. I offered my opinion. She seemed very disinterested

"No Housekeeping Service"
2 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 26, 2014

I had several very negative experiences in 2009 and swore I would not come back but I foolishly did. I should have known this experience was to be no different when I got a call at 5:30 asking if I was going to keep my reservations. It wasn?t that late. I assured them I would be there in about an hour. Apparently they were hoping to give my room to someone else as they wanted me to change the type of room when I did arrive. The following morning at breakfast the dining room was a bit crazy and we were finally able to find a seat. The person assigned to clear the table would not wipe the tables down and they were sticky with syrup. I got a few napkins and washed it down myself. Ok, they were busy I get it. We left for the day to move my daughter out of her apartment and came back briefly about 3:30 to drop off some refrigerated items. The cleaning crew was outside our room but had not yet cleaned our room so I left the door ajar. It was actually good they had not gotten to our room yet as there was a melted ice cream mess in the refrigerator from the previous occupants. I ended up cleaning the refrgerator. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. We returned about 5:30 and found our room was still not clean (dirty towels, bathroom not clean, beds unmade) and the cleaning crew was nowhere in sight. We decided to inquire at the front desk. We were asked if we saw them and we told them earlier but not anymore. They said they probably just weren?t done. No checking on it, no apologies nothing. So we went out to eat and returned at 7?still no room cleaning. So we resigned to the fact that is not a service offered to everyone apparently. Maybe an extra charge? Really I know this is part of the service and the housekeeping staff is negligible and the desk staff probably know this since they made no efforts to rectify this. Just to heap onto this we tried to get an extra sheet and they have absolutely no clean laundry according to the front desk staff. This came as no surprise since they don?t collect dirty linen and every time I went to the elevator the housekeeping room was propped open with mounds of dirty linen! I wish I paid extra for a real hotel or even less for a smaller unknown one?I at least could have a clean room and a helpful staff! I am done with your hotel!

The staff was very helpful, even had discounts for nearby Coco's. There were pleanty of places to eat within walking distance. Good place for dogs to do their duty. (please be sure you clean up their mess, some people didn't) Kohl's was also very close by. Very convenient. rooms clean. We arrived very early for check-in so our rooms were not ready, but they allowed me to us the facilities including the pool until the room was ready. Great policy.

I have qualified for Gold Status through LaQuinta`s reward program. I usually travel with both cats and dogs, and love their pet policy. They do not charge extra for pets, or have a weight/size limit for dogs. I frequent the Flagstaff AZ location, but had to fly to Denver for business and thought it would be convenient to use my points and stay the night in Colorado Springs at the La Quinta Garden of the Gods location on Sinton. This is an older cinder-block hotel with outside hallway doors. Upon check-in, I was told that there was no upgrade available for a room with a micro/fridge. I went to my room and threw my bag on the bed. Then I noticed that the bed linens looked rumpled. I pulled back the covers, and it had obviously been slept in. At this point I was NOT sleeping in the room but morbid curiosity drew me to the bathroom. The ick factor multiplied exponentially when I saw that the toilet rim was covered in urine. I speed-dialed the Front Desk and they managed to find me a room with a micro/fridge that a maid had actually breezed through. Maybe this was just a horrific oversight, maybe a maid needs the boot. In any case, I would consider car-camping over staying here.
