This La Quinta Inn has undergone a face lift since our last stay a couple of years ago and I like the improvements esp the new beds and linens! In fact the bed was so comfy I didn't want to leave the next morning! There are three things that top my list of necessary amenities when staying at any hotel : Comfortable beds and linens, cold ac, lots of hot water!! This LaQuinta delivered!
Other perks were friendly desk personnel , lots of towels,convenient ice and vending machines,quiet rooms, new flat screen tvs, fantastic location w many diverse food and shopping choices nearby, and a very unexpected perk... Beautiful grounds and views for walking our Chihauhau! Yes it is pet friendly and doesn't charge an exorbitant fee like many hotels do.
We ordered food from Outback.. A particularly good one I might add, brought it back to our room and enjoyed watching a movie.. To me it felt as comfy as room service at a much fancier IE more expensive hotel.. I have stayed at the Mariott Coutyard down the road and sure it's nice but the price for what you get is not!
Give this La Quinta a try! Your pocket book will also thank you!!
Only thing I would have liked better is a micro fridge in the room !
The room was ok for the price, but I won't stay there again because of the location -- on top of a hill with no restaurants within convenient walking distance. There are restaurants fairly close around, but walking to them would mean not only navigating the hill but also crossing busy streets. After I've driven all day and check in to a motel, I don't want to have to drive around looking for a place to eat. I want to walk next door or across a (quiet) street to a decent restaurant.
Stayed one night on our way to D.C. Excellent value, nice, clean, comfortable! I would stay here again, and probably will! The price was really a bargain, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pleasant and warm.
I stay here often for field trials in the Bristol area and always recommend it. It has been a good, clean comfortable place that is pet friendly. However, on the last trip or two, it seems that things have slipped. The staff is still friendly but the do not seem to have the same standard on cleaning and maintenance. On our last trip, they stuck us in a smoking room, although they would not admit it (think the ash tray was a clue?). They said they had no other rooms and would at least send some air freshener. My clothes I took smelled like smoke when I got home. The rooms were not a clean or cared for as in the past. I will be back in a few weeks and if it is not better, I will probably start using other hotels in the area.
My husband and I stayed here while on vacation. The check in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfy not super pillow soft but it was nice enough. The water pressure was good in the shower and the water got hot quickly. The breakfast spread was nice but they needed a few more tables because one morning it was full and some people just park it and think its ok to read the paper and use a whole table for themself just to have a coffee. The downside was that the airconditioning made a noise like a banging motor so it was good that we didnt need it and the fridgemicrowave combo made a tapping noise constantly. My husband didnt mind it and I got used to hearing it after a while so it didnt ruin my trip. I would prob stay again just not in that room
