This is a very large once-awesome hotel. It is VERY close to Covenant Medical Center, which is where my friend's dad was having a procedure done. My friend booked 2 rooms, requested fridge's in both rooms (you do NOT get these in every room, so request them!), and also requested her parent's room to be on the Ground floor, due to his heart condition. When we arrived, neither room had fridges in them, and while our room first was on the 3rd floor, her parents room was on the 6th!! She decided to "let it ride" until the next a.m., but requested we both be moved to rooms with fridges the 2nd night, AND her parents room on the 1st floor. When the elevator doors first opened, there was a cockroach making it's way down into the crevice. Yuck!! And if that weren't enough.....the room we were given on the 3rd floor wasn't made up yet......housekeeping "forgot" it, according to the front desk. So we were then given a room on the 4th floor. Still no fridge!! And the floors are FILTHY!!! I mean deep, ground-in dirty....although they kinda (?) seemed vacumned on the surface. But the beds were comfy, although the pillows were flat!! The room seemed otherwise clean except for the floors. Awful! The 2nd night, my friend's parents were indeed moved to a 1st floor room, but still no fridge!!! Hello???? And we were moved to a room with a fridge AND microwave, so we put her parent's fridge items in ours. The floors were STILL filthy in this room too, PLUS.....we were left NO bath towels & short 2 washcloths, but had plenty of hand towels. There was MOLD on the corner of the shower curtain!! Also, we were left coffee stirrers, etc., but no coffee!! OMG.......housekeeping in this place SUCKS big time!! I would NOT stay here again!! You are better off going 3 miles down the road, or to one of the other hotels. These hotels give a medical discount, but not enough to make up for the bad housekeeping staff or the filthy floors!! My foot stuck on something sticky by the desk in the 2nd room. In the 1st room, I wore white socks, that were black 2 hours later. Gross! The desk staff, though, was VERY helpful & friendly, and the rooms are large & spacious, beds are very comfy. That's all!

"Friendly staff, large clean rooms"

Easy access, friendly staff, large clean rooms, comfortable beds and plenty of places to sit and talk make this hotel a good value for the money. We stayed at the west end of the hotel (at the end of the Atrium) and found the rooms to be very spacious. Our room had a work desk, King size bed and a sofa couch. The front dest staff was friendly and engaging. The early morning breakfast was simple and nothing fancy (yogurt, bagels, waffles, cereal) but sufficient. If I could suggest anything, it would be to up the quality of their morning coffee.

"Baseball in Lubbock"

Our trip to Lubbocck was a Baseball Tournament. This tournament had almost 900 players. So needless to say the hotels is Lubbock were full. Our stay at LaQuinta was less than satisfactory. This is NOT a good hotel when travelling for baseball. There are no refrigerators, microwave, or laundry facility provided. These items are a must for a week long baseball tournament. Housekeeping is poor. Our room was cleaned twice out of the 6 nights of our stay. Toilet was never cleaned. I booked an extra night due to travel from Houston to Lubbock. I was quoted a price that was not initially honored by the staff at the check in desk. (this price happened to be less than our group rate for the tournament). ADULTS were chased out of the lobby between 9-10pm, noise level was minimal from the parents. Our players are 16 years old, they are not the age that runs up and down the halls like 9 year old boys. Usually travel sizes of shampoo and lotion are left on the sink for guests. We had to ask housekeeping for these items when she came the room the first day. Coffee is generally left on for guests all day at other hotels. Only served 6-9am at this hotel. One morning I went to get coffee at 6:15am, nothing had even been set out for the unappetizing breakfast and NO coffee was on. I don't remember staying in a LaQuinta before and I will never stay in one again. I will also recommend to the organization that we played for in Lubbock NEVER uses LaQuinta as one of their host hotels again. Sincerely, Baseball MOM

"Don't stay here"

Worst physical layout...hard to get to...dirty carpets..noisy...not enough parking...only one handicap space ..rooms right on lobby floor...does not meet the normal La Quinta standards....it is obvious that it was not originally a La Quinta property...really bad design...go out to the La Quinta on the north loop 289..and compare for the price...

"Nice hotel but don't stay if you plan to socialize after 9pm in the lobby"

Hotel was nice. Breakfast adequate, could probably use some protein on the buffet. Every night at different times hotel management tried to heard us out of the lobby due to quiet hour policy. We were there for a baseball tournament along with several other teams and their families. After refusing to leave we all received letters in our rooms highlighting this policy. We were not being loud or rowdy and policy is just ignorant. If you book multiple sports teams in your hotel just expect people to congregate in the common hours. Never put letters in guests rooms chastising them and meting out your curfew. It's not summer camp and big surprise, we are adults! If you do still decide to place any correspondence in guests rooms, I suggest you spell check it first as it was riddled with misspellings Hotel was low on towels so u never knew how many you'd get. Most of the staff were friendly and very accommodating nice people.
