"Not ADA friendly-loud"

Stayed here one night while traveling to Texas. Easy location, but nothing else around, easy to find. Clean and Very cheap. Good parking in front of ADA requested room. Room had a very odd layout and was not at all ADA friendly. It was a standard room with a couple of grab bars bolted to wall. The sink is totally inaccessible in a wheelchair because they put the fridge and microwave in there too! Even when standing it was in the way! I think the cleaning staff just shoved it in there, because there was plenty of room for those things in the room itself. The wide door to the toilet and shower interfered with wheelchair as well. Shower had grabbars on back wall which does not assist in entry/exit, just a standard tub and did not have a wand or showerseat. Great water pressure. Noisy partyers on Friday night woke me up and I just decided to finish road trip early and get back on the road. I would view it as a very cheap room for a road trip, but it's nowhere near ADA compliant and inaccessible. Will not stay again.

"Customer Service is a Joke! Unsafe location"
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013

The ONLY thing that I liked about this hotel was the comfort of the bed and linens! Housekeeping did a wonderful job. The room was clean although the room needed some major updates. We were in town for my son's baseball tournament. (Reserved a block of 8 rooms)We went to hotel early to just get checked in, not go to our room. We knew check in time was at 3 however, we had called ahead and was told we could do the paperwork part when we got into town due to late night possibility at ballpark. Upon entering the hotel, LaDishia-front desk clerk, was very unfriendly and not concerned about making my check in process easy or in a hurry. After 30 minutes of discussing the process of rooms not being clean and explaining to her that we did not want in our rooms, she finally decided we could pay for our rooms and get the keys. NEVER THANKING ME! After ballgames for the night, we arrived back at hotel around 10:30pm. VERY SCARY PLACE!! The parking lot was packed, drunks were in parking lot. I proceeded to back of hotel, where it only seemed to get worse. I am almost certain I witnessed a prostitute working with her pimp waiting in a car in parking lot. We quickly got up to our room. Room was above my expectation considering all I had just seen. We did need more towels and had to go to front desk to get some more. OMG....No place for any children to see this! Drunks, people carrying in cases of alcohol, music blarring....need I say more. We return with towels quickly. Time to unwind. I go to turn on TV. It does NOT work. Called front desk. Instead of offering to send someone to look at it, she tells me how to check cords. I called back after checking cords and let her know it still was not working. She said for me to come to front desk and she will exchange rooms. Uh Yeah....I DONT THINK SO!! At this point it was 11:30 and I am exhausted! Luckily the bed was so comfortable, we drifted off to sleep without the help of TV. I was certain I was going to get to talk to someone upon checkout. Yeah Right!! LaDishia was working the front desk! No Such Luck!! I just figured I will call someone later on about my problems. NEVER ONCE DID SHE SAY THANK YOU or ASK IF MY STAY WAS OK. Her lack of customer service skills is a total disappointment considering I would have overlooked everything else, had she just been friendly! Oh and considering it was Memorial Day weekend, you would think the pool would be working. NO

"will not stay at this location again"

A La Quinta traveler |
this was the worst hotel room I have ever been in I travel from Kentucky to texas every year . this year I brought my daughter and 10 month old grand daughter with me and I couldn't even put my grand daughter on the floor due to her legs and feet being black with dirt when I picked her up... and what really got me and made me decide to leave was the fact that I seen a roach crawling on the mini frig, sorry but I am not going to spend money on a room like that... stayed at a La Quimta Inn in New Orleans last year and it was great don't know what happened this time round...

"Average Stay but good deal!"

I have to admit I was a little hesitant about this La Quinta! It was an older style with the doors facing outside. I always feel less secure in these styles. Upon check-in was greeted by friendly staff and check-in process was very quick. For dinner options there is an Applebee's and Dixie restaurant about 2 miles away. Not a good area if you don't have a vehicle to venture out. Returning from those restaurants, make sure you program your GPS. It is extremely difficult to find your way back to hotel. On a positive note, you are right next to a gas station and if you are doing a road trip you can fill up before getting on the highway!

"Terrible Location"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Apr 23, 2013

We arrived on Otter Creek Road and checked into La Quinta Otter Creek at 3:00PM and checked into room 145. We drove along the frontage road to get to Applebees and had chicken caesar salads and a gooey chocolate dessert before getting gas. The motel wasn't in a very convenient location. I didn't think they built motels that weren't next to restaurants. We almost got lost on the way back from Applebees because the return route was on the other side of the road and we weren't familiar with the area. At least in August on the way back from the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal we got a free night, which meant we didn't have to pay anything at all, not even taxes. Not that the property is all that expensive. It cost only $55.69 for a room for three people and two pets. They included a CP breakfast in the lobby. I used their free Arkansas postcards to send to friends.
