Not up to La Quinta standards. No hot water. They said sorry - we will look into that. No place to sit and eat breakfast. They shouldn't serve breakfast if they can not provide enough space for their guests. Just about everything in the room was worn out. They need to either sell this one or bring it up to standards the company is known for having.

"Great Value in Sacramento"

We stay here periodically when travelling to Sacramento and look forward to using the pool and hot tub. Both are usually clean and fun to use. Our room was clean, the beds comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The wifi worked well (free!) and there are plenty of tv channels to choose from. We also enjoyed the waffles for breakfast. The staff was friendly and we felt welcomed as usual. Although it is near the freeway, traffic noise has never been an issue. We also like the location as it is near the American and Sacramento Rivers and is an easy drive to many parts of town. There are fancier places to stay but we appreciate the total number of amenities for the relatively low price paid.

"Clean, conventent, out dated"

The room was clean & the beds were comfortable, but this location really needs to be updated. Our room Looked a little "oldish" & there were some repairs that were needed (bathroom sink was loose & looked like it might drop out of the counter @ any minute). I must say that the room was free, because of my membership points, so...

"Horrible Customer service and deception"
1 of 5 stars Reviewed Sep 19, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on a weekend to go see an event called Afterschock. approximately eighty percent of the customers that stayed at the La Quinta that weekend were going to Afterschock. The hotel gave us a parking permit for one car for the time we stayed. We checked out at 11am on sunday and asked the front desk if our parking permits would cover us until the end of the day (the permit did not say how long it was valid). The front desk staff ASSURED us that we would be safe to keep our car parked there. Well, they lied! We came back after a long day and our car was gone! They towed us! We went to the front desk and the lobby was full of angry customers. it cost us well over $400 to get our car back, not to mention the additional hours of waiting and stress after a very long weekend. Im not a person who gets upset easily, but this was just wrong on so many levels. How could they do this to their customers? Apparently they do not care about repeat business. Our permit did not have a date that it was valid through anywhere on it, so we asked if it was ok to stay park there for the rest of the day... and we trusted them. Additionally, there was NOTHING posted about being towed in the parking lot, nor was there anything in our contract that we signed stating that acknowledged their parking polices. As far as the rooms- The room below par. it had a funky smell and the beds were very uncomfortable. The also never cleaned our room while we were there.

"Not bad... comfortable beds"

We took a family trip to California, and Sacramento was one of the stops. This hotel was... ok... The entire hotel is supposed to be nonsmoking, but one of the rooms we got had a horrible cigarette smell in it. Thankfully, we were given another room, but it wasn't right next door like we had hoped. I hope the previous renter of the room got a big fine for that, because that room was really bad. Early on one of the mornings, someone was walking in front of the room on their cell phone and was clearly not happy with whoever they were talking to and all we heard was a BUNCH of swearwords. Not really the best way to be woken up. Other than that, the hotel was ok, but I probably won't be staying there again.
