"Average Hotel Stay on the Way to Florida"

Decided to stay in Slidell going eastward rather than Covington. This is an older hotel that has recently been renovated which is a little difficult to find. The hotel has exterior hallways that are a bit dark and damp (we stayed toward the back of the hotel). The Check-in Staff was extremely courteous and efficient. The rooms were average but, were clean and a suitable place to rest on the way to Florida. The Breakfast was very basic and was only available from 6-9 AM; a little short when trying to get a family together in the morning in order to get to Breakfast. Another option is Cracker Barrel next door. Hotel looked much better during the day than at night.
This was a great hotel to stay at. We visited New Orleans for a day and this was a great price and not that far to drive. The staff was excellent whenever I called or while we were at the Hotel. The breakfast we excellent and very fresh. We can't say enough good about this place. The rooms were exceptionally clean and very roomy.
excellent stay- very pet friendly. staff is very friendly and prompt. Everything worked in the room. Pool area is wonderful. Breakfast was boring. Need to update to the rounded shower curtain rod. Rooms were very quiet and sound proof except for right outside the door- rooms opened to the outside and not to the hallway which is a big plus for pets. Walked right out my door to the grassy area to walk my dog.
The hotel is not new, but very clean, recently remodeled, and the staff was great. The continental breakfast was above average with good variety. The room was exceptionally clean and the mattress appeared to be very new. No strange smells or stains. It was very comfortable. The only negatives were the Wi-Fi, which came in and out and the noise level. The hotel is located right off the interstate and isn't very soundproof(and our room was at the very front of the hotel facing the road). Rooms located further back may not be so noisy. The area itself felt very safe with numerous restaurants within walking distance and retail stores very close. We would definitely stay again.
Yes, we stayed at this LaQuinta Inn and yes, we would stay there again if we are in the area. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was fresh and clean however there were a few stains on the carpeting.
We found the breakfast room offers a good variety of selections and the hotel guests were cordial in lining up for the waffle maker.
The hotel was easy to locate in an area that we had never visited prior to this time.
