"Great room for large family"

We stayed in the loft room for the second time. It is roomy and comfortable, although an extra sink/vanity in the loft would be nice. There is not much counter space in the vanity area for toiletries, etc, nor places to hang the multiple towels 5 people use. Other than that small thing, the room and hotel met our needs for a good value near skiing and restaurants, easy to get to, typical included breakfast of this category hotel. If you need a firm pillow, bring your own, as they use a down or down like pillow on the beds. We will definitely stay here again.
Went snowboarding on a Sunday and ended up getting stuck in a terrible snow storm on the way home. We called La Quinta in hopes that they would still have a room. They did! The front-desk staff was more than helpful and the accomodations were fantastic as well. We even were introduced to the owner, Casey, and his daughter and son-in-law--such nice folks, and so attentive!
The Old Chicago attached to the hotel allowed for some much needed food and brews at the end of the day too!
In addition, there were so many people stranded that they allowed people who could not get a room to stay in the lobby and use the hot tub and pool!
Anytime we are in Silverthorne, we will be staying at La Quinta! Thanks so much!
Stayed here one night between skiing at Vail and Beaver Creek. Price was a big factor as was the availability of a two-room suite, which worked out very nicely for our two couples. We got out for less than $200. The rooms were spacious, but sparsely furnished (e.g. one desk per suite). One nice feature, and I don't know if this was a planned amenity, was that the floors appeared to be heated - a nice surprise after having skied at Vail all day - so that we did not need to turn on the window unit. There was no printed cable guide in the room, so we had to surf the channels or use the system guide, a minor inconvenience. The windows were kind of leaky, but it was no big deal, and the heating unit came on in both rooms at random for a few seconds all through the night even though the controls were set to "off". We've noticed this in other hotels, and don't quite understand what is going on. Otherwise the room was thankfully quiet. They have a pool and spa, of which we did not partake, that the children of other guests seemed to be enjoying. Breakfast was just fine. No scrambled eggs, but it had enough other goodies to fill our stomachs before heading out to the slopes for day 2. All in all this was a good experience.
We stayed at this La Quinta Inn on the spur of the moment during a snowstorm. We made a reservation for a late arrival, and when we arrived, the desk clerk gave us a queen suite that had a loft. The two queen beds were up a spiral wrought iron staircase and the sofa was in the main living room below. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the view in the morning of the snow on the mountains was lovely! Thanks to the staff for a great room at a fair price.
February 2014. Stayed four nights for a ski vacation. Hotel room was clean and comfortable and the front desk staff nice and very helpful. The breakfast area needs improvement. Had to ask twice to get the juices refilled and the coffee was out. The cleaning lady should not be the person handling the food. The jacuzzi had dirt and rocks in the bottom and the pool water was foggy.
