A nice place to stop on the drive from Scottsdale to Chicago. Pleasant and knowledgeable staff, clean rooms, good housekeeping and just off of I-40, Breakfast was typical but good and well serviced. We had two rooms; one for a friend with his dog and a regular room on a different floor. Both rooms were clean and well maintained. Plus an excellent value.

This is one of those great places if you are traveling with animals. La Quinta does not charge extra for pets and does not limit the number, size or kinds of animals one can have. For me-traveling with my 5 cats-it was perfect. The rooms are nice-sized and pretty clean. The breakfast is reasonable (cold cereals, juice, yogurt, breads/sweet rolls and waffles. I especially liked the fact that they will (when they can) check you in early. We arrived well before 3 Pm but they put us in the room anyway. One complaint-which is minor- is that the beds were a bit too soft for me. Also the air conditioning in our room was not working properly-either too hot or too cold.
The hotel is easily reached from the highway and is surrounded by several fast food places. It is is very convenient. The town of Tucumcari is pretty small so it's a nice alternative if you do not want to go to Albuquerque.
They are very hospitable to pet owners. Wonderful! I enjoyed staying there because it is very hard to find hotels that are kind to pets. My dog really enjoyed staying here. The service was excellent. I can't give them enough praise!
Traveling across the country I selected LaQuinta Inn's due to their pet friendly policy. I was not
dissapointed!! I was welcome with my German Shepard, just as she was member of the family. My room was very clean, the bed so awesome and comfy with lots of fluffy pillows. Staff was efficient and friendly. They also have a heated indoor pool and hot tub. Free breakfast included homemade Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. I will return.
We stayed there going to and coming from Phoenix, AZ. It is a great place to stay and they serve a wonderful hot breakfast. Everything you would hope for in a Motel.
The staff is really great and the service is fantastic. I would stay there again.
