My first review was a 5. This second trip to the hotel was not as good at all. The room was fine however! It was a hot tub room, which the only bad thing about it is there are none on the ground floor, that sucks! We have dogs and the elevator is a joke, its slow and very hot - much better on the ground floor but the room itself was good. The only thing dirty was the couch yuk.. the room was average A/C is way too loud! - I'm dropping my 5 rating to 3 because of the following reasons:1) biggest reason, the whole place outside is full of dog poop! Its been there for a long time too since the color of its turned to a white its been a long time since anyone with LQ bothered to walk the grounds and look at all the poop in all the bushes. Not just the pet area not being cleaned up everywhere we walked the dogs there was old poop- so much and im not kidding, I refused to walk the dogs in the rocks and bushes there as all you wold do is step in poop. Its the guest responsibility to pick it up and they are really rude for not doing it, there are even free bags provided. However, LQ should also make sure its picked up and kept clean. The dog area stinks bad of urine. I dont think its been cleaned ever... our one of the dogs refused to even walk in it! The very best thing they could do is put grass! That itself would earn a 5 star review if they cleaned up the poop and added grass! 2) I reported the elevator button as being broken and it took 2 full (48 hours) that's wrong, only one button worked out of the two and had the other gone out in that 48 hour wait time people would be stuck with stairs. 3) The manager called before my arrival to say they were full and that he tried to pre-charge my cc since they were full. Never has that happened it was very strange and really very rude! Thankfully the card I used to hold the room only have a enough for a night, I never trust on line reservations with a high limit card and good thing. But it was very strange to have a hotel try to do that. This trip coming this month, I'm going back to the residence inn, which is by far the best for people who travel with dogs! I will stay at the LQ again if needed based on price. Sometimes the RI is really expensive with the added pet fee, so on some occasions LQ will be the deal, but its sure not a top rated hotel at all, its average and really they should have maint. do better cleaning of the grounds. Really the reason we stay at LQ is because they take dogs, if no dogs Id go elsewhere for sure. (and in reviews I believe the manager changed from when I went before so if that's true that may explain the reason its going down hill)
If you are looking for a clean place to stay in Las Vegas that is away from the neon on the Strip this hotel provides basic amenities and proximity to the airport (didn't hear airplane noise). It is perfect if you have an early morning flight. It's not scenic, but it is convenient, and the full breakfast was very comprehensive.
We enjoyed our stay with plenty of rest from a long flight and a night seeing the sites in Vegas. The room was quiet and comfortable, clean and new, and close to the strip, stores, dining & easy access to the airport. The breakfast was very good as was the employees helpful directions to area attractions. We will surely stay there on our next visit to L V.
We ended our 7 day vacaton in Vegas at the LaQunita - airport south. I'm afraid we are now LaQuinta fans. It's rather hard to believe for only $10.00 a night more than what we paid the other motels, we felt like royalty. The room was huge, we had a microwave, refrig, a closet, very nice bathroom and two huge, very comfortable beds. When we arrived back to the motel after seeing the lights of Vegas we were treated to hot chocholate chips cookies!. Breakfast was the best. I can't say enough good things about our new favorite motel.
We were pleasantly surprised by this La Quinta near the Airport in Las Vegas where we stayed for one night recently. The room was spotless and nicely furnished. We had a refrigerator, microwave, iron, hairdryer, Keurig coffee maker and flat screen TV (although we couldn't get reception for several network channels). The room looked freshly painted also. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The breakfast was standard with waffles, cereal, toast, bananas, and hard boiled eggs. Because we were right next to the runway at the airport we thought we would hear the planes all night. Surprisingly, the room was very quiet. They had a shuttle to take people to the Strip but we drove ourselves with our rental car and it didn't take long to get there. All in all, this was a great value. It would be five stars if the location were more interesting, but it was nice to get away from the hectic life at the Strip.
