Hotel was convenient to our location and very good price. We were located right behind the office and that made us feel safe. There were a lot of people outside the rooms talking and laughing but they did not get out of the way. Hotel staff was very helpful and nice.
I don't mind an old hotel for the price, but dirty is inexcusable. Our bathroom was filthy. Toilet had cloudy water and a ring around the toilet. Apparently had poured cleaner in toilet and left it without scrubbing it. Bathroom floors had dirt, trash, and hair in the corners. Two USED washcloths were hanging on the shower curtain rod when we closed the shower curtain for a shower! YUCK! Headboard of bed had an inch of dust on it. Front door was absolutely filthy. Tried not to touch it when leaving. Sheets did not seem clean. Seemed as if beds were just made up and sheets not changed. On one bed, there was a hole in the sheets right below the pillows about the size of a golf ball. Right outside our room was a security camera that came on and announced that the premises were being audio and video recorded at about 9:00 p.m. that night. The next morning on the way back from breakfast, we saw what appeared to be a prostitute giving a man her contact information outside one of the rooms. Also the night before a man in boxers was walking along the sidewalk from one room to another with a huge bottle of whiskey in his arms. Did not feel exactly safe with my two daughters. . .
This hotel was clean with friendly staff. We felt very safe. Easy to find and prime location for easy access to entertainment and wonderful dining experiences. I think for me the safety was the biggest issue, two women traveling alone on business, safety is always an important factor. Would recommend to anyone.
This area is getting very sketchy. They have security cameras but not sure how effective they might be. PF Chang's or West End across the street are good for food. Very economical for the area. Dog park not to far away. Not much area to exercise our pet. Room was not the cleanist. Bathroom especially needed cleaning.
Before moving to LR I came to visit and this is where we stayed. It was spacious and the people were friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very very clean for such a place. It wasn't what I'd call modern but it wasn't a 70's throw back either. Just a good place to stay and not far from food, shopping, movies etc - West LR is a pretty nice place to stay in LR if you're looking to visit.
