Had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel...Clean and attractive accommodations. We will book here again in the future. The only thing that i wish that was available was a refrigerator. I would have liked to put my pop bottles in there from out of my cooler.

Been staying here twice a year for years; nice place; next to cracker barrel; next to railroad ( husband is rail fan). The staff is always friendly and willing to help in any way. My granddaughter likes the pool. Even though next to railroad, the trains didn't keep us from sleeping. Wish there was a place to sit and watch trains. Across the street is a very nice mall and Red Lobster as well as movie theatre and other great eating places. We didn't have to drive too far to get to Eldora race track, which is the reason we came. The rooms could use minor repair and need the snack machines back in order. Overall a great place to stay.

We stayed here a few months back and although the staff was very polite, friendly, and professional, guests are not able to choose between a smoking or non-smoking experience. We stayed four or five nights, and the first day, we smelled nothing, which was actually pretty surprising, because every other day we stayed, at several times during the day, there was an intense smell of cigarette smoke IN our room. It was so concentrated that you could smell it more on one side of the room. That first time, I brought it to the hotel's attention and they told me to call the front desk the next time it happened so they could figure out the source, but afterwards, I just realized there was nothing they could do anyway. It was either from the hallway, vents, or outside(where I saw the staff smoking on the front side of the hotel). The style of the room, bedding and room itself, didn't have that modern feel to it, but we're okay with florals and older wood furniture. The room was pretty clean and there was a smaller percentage of little pieces of trash that you find under bedskirts or in tiny corners, in even the nicer hotels. The bathroom had the sink outside the room, which isn't our favorite arrangement but also okay. Breakfast was nice and pretty much the same as most other hotels, using paper plates. I came up with the idea of adding coffee creamer to my waffles, so I would feel fancy with my "french vanilla" or "hazelnut" waffles! On more than one occasion, the staff had accommodated certain small requests promptly and kindly. The pool was warm and had a glass window facing the hallway(which wasn't ideal) but we enjoyed it. The hotel is located next to Cracker Barrel and across the mall. It may be in close vicinity to train tracks but I don't remember exactly. Ultimately, I am not sure if hotels like this may be able to alleviate the smoke issue by updating their ventilation or other means, or if it is just one of those things where you'd just have to get a smoke-free hotel. In this case, it wasn't a subtle but very heavy smell. The staff was great though.

Was very nice and affordable! Really nice sheets and towels! Didn't take advantage of the pool and spa, but they looked very nice. Breakfast was a bit limited, so we didn't eat there. Would have appreciated a small refridgerator/freezer in the room.

Great staff! Spotless room, service amazing. Sheila, the breakfast attendant is a great asset to the hotel. She greeted me every morning with a smile and pleasant conversation. I will definitely plan on coming back to this property in the near future.
