We had a prepaid reservation for a non smoking room with two queens beds. We arrived at 10 pm and found that the only room that was left was a smoking room with a king bed. They said they called a few other hotels to find us another room but all the other places were full. I called the front desk for more blankets and was told they were out. We stayed in the smoking room that absolutely reeked of smoke so badly I was gagging in the morning when I woke up. All our bags smelled like cigarettes after we left. It was a terrible experience.
The one thing that we liked was the breakfast but other than that, it was disappointing. No effort was made to compensate us for the inconvenience except a $10 discount.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a one-bedroom king suite that was spacious and well-appointed. Really appreciate their pet policy. This is not a fancy hotel or luxurious place, but it is safe and clean. I think their prices for a suite are reasonable. Even though the location is close to the interstate, we never had a noise issue. It's also nice that there are laundry facilities, if needed. We travel 130 miles to my doctor and we like to take our dog. We will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay at this location. The check in was quick and the people working were so very nice. Even looked up hours for a local store I had asked about. Very very friendly.
Only complaint was the light in the bathroom took forever to come on. We had to leave the light on while in our room. Not a big deal, just a tad annoying.
had a weekend stay everything was ok clean room, nice pool, good internet access, breakfast needed to be monitored better, on sat mid breakfast schedule, there was a scarcity of EVERTHING, situation was taken care of but by then I was on my way too late to enjoy, also I think the charge for the safe should not be included on bill before hand unless person agrees overall still very satisfied
For the "most part" the stay was nice and Aaron, who checked us in, went out of his way to ensure we had a more than satisfactory room and a pleasant stay. Having had to change rooms 3 times could have been a very nerve racking and unpleasant experience but Aaron was helpful and considerate though out the process. THANK YOU Aaron!
Our only complaint(s) were:
Do some SERIOUS work to the pool and spa area. It is an area in need of a lot of attention! (Paint bubbling off the walls in 1/3 of pool/spa area; water leaks coming from the ceiling dripping into the pool; ceiling tiles sagging; only 4 jets out of 12 WORKED in the spa; ants by the exterior windows; pool floor area NOT MOPPED once in the 4 days we stayed there) Also ensure that daytime management (2 gentlemen one time, a different gentleman the next)were taught to GREET the guest as they walked by and inquire about their stay instead of gossiping with other hotel employees at the front desk for an hour or so while guests are having breakfast. It would have been just as easy to step off into the office at the right of the service desk to conduct this type of conversation.
