When I travel in South Texas and I know I'll be in the San Antonio area I always stay at the Vance Jackson La Quinta Inn, just outside of the Downtown area (5-10min drive), I am always greeted with a warm "Hello, welcome back Mr.___. your room(s) are ready for you!" and with a Starbucks on the same corner and a clean pool to take a dip in is certainly a plus!
My main issue is that it is rated a 3-star hotel and it is really a 2-star hotel at most. I have stayed at many other La Quinta hotels before and this one is by far the worst La Quinta I have ever stayed at. Rooms are old, the bathtub was scraped beyond description, the shower was chest-high, the carpet smelled and you almost didn't want to step on it barefooted. I can go on and on, I just want everyone to know this is not your typical La Quinta, which whereas not a 5-star hotel or even 4-star it is generally good value for the buck. This one isn't. La Quinta should do a better review of all hotels that carry their name.
Everyone was nice and helpful to us. The rooms were up to date and very clean!! The cost of the room was very reasonable also!!! We really enjoyed our stay! The only thing that would have made anything better would be a small fridge in the room. Then again, that may make the cost of the rooms go up. Anyway, way to go LaQuinta!!!!
We stayed two nights at this LaQuinta and were very pleased. The location was perfect for our itinerary, easily accessed from I-10. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast items were good. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at the motel again.
There was construction by our room but that aint no big deal breakfast was awesome it totaly save us money by not going to ihop. Staff should be a little more friendly. Other than that everything was great
