Great low rate, clean and comfortable room with flat-screen TV, friendly and helpful staff, adequate breakfast with a good variety of options, including waffles and hard-boiled eggs, breakfast items restocked continuously.
I am a La Quinta Returns member and my family stays in their hotels almost every week when we travel for our family's business. This La Quinta was the worst I've ever stayed in.
The clerk at the front desk was wildly unprofessional -- chatting with a young maintenance worker -- in fact, I saw a young maintenance worker leaning on the front desk chatting to whatever young girl was working the desk every time I passed through the lobby -- and texting on her phone while she was checking guests in. She seemed disinterested in actually doing her job and, in fact, couldn't even manage to give us the right keys. To our horror, she gave us the keys to another family's room and we walked in on them. Totally unacceptable.
The room itself was very run down, dated and dirty. The ground floor hall wreaks of 20 years of cigarette smoke and the stairwell smelled strongly of urine and body odor. It was disgusting.
The indoor pool was small and, at the time we visited, there was some kind of pre-teen birthday party going on. There were 15-20 10-12 year old boys running around with no supervision and the staff said nothing. They were splashing in the tiny pool, screaming, playing on the fitness equipment and being totally unruly.
My impression of this hotel was that it attracts lower class people with large families due to the size of the rooms. It is poorly managed and staffed by very unprofessional, incompetent young people who don't care about their jobs.
If you're looking to stay in the area, go to the La Quinta 1/2 mile down the road on Clinton. It is MUCH nicer and the staff is very professional.
This hotel is not new, but has been maintained well. The pool is warm enough to enjoy, the hot tub is hot, and there's a separate kiddie pool. A fitness center, game room with pool tables and air hockey, and arcades, makes this a great place for families. We had an extended stay, and our suite room with excellent mountain views had a great wet bar and counter, and with the microwave and mini fridge, we were able to function without having to go out for every meal. Decent breakfast options, including some choices for gluten free eaters was helpful, too.
This was my first time staying in this hotel in 10 years and I don't think anything has changed since. The place is pretty rundown and barely reflects the hotspot it used to be, but the management and staff keep it going well enough to be sufficient for a very conveniently located stay. I would like to return once it is renovated.
Stayed here while we were visiting our son who lives in Littleton. The room was a 2 room suite, with a kitchen, two tv's. sleeper sofa. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There is also an indoor swimming pool, indoor children's pool, and hot tub, game room with air hockey, 2 pool tables, and a couple of arcade games. Free breakfast included, which some complain about-but there was waffles you could make, toast, cold cereal, oatmeal, bagels, hard boiled eggs, for free I don't expect a gourmet brunch. Considering we only paid $60 a night we felt like we got a steal. It is close to lots of restaurants and the freeway. We will stay here again when we go visit.
