the rooms were standard. bed seemed to be clean and well made. The room next door to me had a dog in it that scratched at the door and barked / yelped EVERY NIGHT I stayed there. I contacted the front desk and was told there was nothing they could do but attempt to contact the owners since they were not in their room to quiet the dog down and make sure it didn't damage anything.
it is within walkign distance of Hooters, IHOP (though it smelled like a sewer in their parking lot) Papa Deaux, and a couple buffet places I can not recommend.
I stay here often when visiting the Sugarland/Stafford Texas area. The hotel staff is always friendly and usually will upgrade my room as I frequently stay at La Quinta's. The hotel rooms are nice but are starting to wear and they will soon need to make some upgrades, especially in the bathrooms. The pool is well maintained as well has a very nice exercise room. The breakfast is not much and I prefer to eat at IHOP which is in the front of the hotel and very convenient. The main attraction is the restaurants that are nearby with Pappadeaux and Hooters next door. Across the freeway is some more very nice restaurants and shopping area. For the price....it's a good hotel.
Nice staff, waffles and coffee for breakfast, comfortable bed, QUIET room, and right next door to iHop and Pappadeaux's. Too much smoking by the swimming pool, so I left that area because of smoke. Fantastaic value! I'd stay again.

Great service and nice value. Room furnishings have been updated from photos posted. The bathrooms are in serious need of catching up though. Mildew and bad caulking in the shower and plaster on the door handle. Toilet had so little water pressure that I had to switch rooms. This is when I saw how truly accommodating the staff is. I would come back once the bathrooms have been upgraded--management said they are currently out to bid.
