"Planning our 25th anniversary"
Reviewed Jun 8, 2013
A La Quinta traveler |
First of all the front desk staff was very friendly and ready to give us directions to venues of interest. Since our stay in Las Cruces was to plan for our 25th wedding anniversary. I asked to check the room before checking in due to a very bad experience at another local hotel, I now make it a ritual to preview the room before checking-in. The room turned out fine and was recently renovated, new carpet/paint and clean. We loved the king size bed and the eight pillows. What we found very useful was the microwave and small frig. We also liked the location close to Mesilla and easy on and off of I-10. We also liked the variety of restaurants in close proximity. The staff was very helpful when asked to do something such as replenish the orange juice.
This La Quinta Inn has a friendly and competent staff and the rooms are well-appointed, clean, and QUIET. The beds are very comfy, also.
I highly recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the Las Cruces area.
Friendly service. clean rooms. reasonable rates. the only problem i had was my car was soaked with hard water deposit when they watered the grass. should be told of this at check in time or post sign on grass
I booked this hotel three months in advance because of the reviews, however, when I arrived the manager had to check our two rooms to see if they were ready. That moment I figured it wasn't going to be good. This hotel is older, our rooms smelled of smoke, the bath tub was dirty and had hair in it. After 12 hours of driving what was the point of getting another room. it was for one night. There were people there being loud. The sliding door facing the pool was unlock. My parents room looked like someone had a crowbar and tried to break in the room before. the marks were still there. I will not stay here again, go drive another 20-30 min to Deming, NM. or stay at another hotel ( newer) pay the extra 30 bucks.
We had a very restful 2-night stay at this LaQuinta location. It is conveniently located near Interstates 10 and 25, but far enough away that road noise was not an issue. There are plenty of quality restaurants (Applebee's, for example) located nearby.
The only concern is that there are 2 LaQuinta properties, one on each side of the Avenida. If you make a reservation, it is not clear which property you are assigned to until you go to check in. The distance between the 2 is minimal.
