A La Quinta traveler |
My husband & I had trouble finding a hotel that was pet friendly. During our search we came across the LaQuinta Inn. Call them up and to our surprise not only were they pet friendly but there was no extra charge. Room rates were cheap so I thought that hey you get what you pay for but once we arrived it was nice, clean, with a very comfy vibe. It smelled nice too which I wasn't expecting since pets are allowed. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all. Can't wait to come back.
This was my first time in La Quinta and it will be my preferred stay from now on. We had trouble with the AC in our original room, they moved us to another without no complaining or anything else. The desk clerk, Chris, called 3 times to make sure we were happy.
The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathroom- just as large
We needed a room for 1 night attending a concert near by. This hotel was clean room was nice and the price was great! Was Glad we gave this hotel a chance. It had alot of good reviews. It also had a continental breakfast in the morning. There was muffins, bagels, etc good value for the money.
So, this is the second time I've stayed at this property, the last being about 5 years ago. Not too much has changed, at least that I can remember.
The pros are that the beds are super comfortable, TVs are current Samsungs, the breakfast onsite is complete (waffles, cereals, breads, fruits, yogurts, etc.), there are plenty of restaurants within a short walk/drive, and it's easy access to the interstate.
The cons are that the bathrooms need some serious expanding and updating (the toilet/shower is super small and you have to straddle the toilet to close the door, the separate sink area is clean but dated with ample outlets and a hair dryer), the staff tending to the breakfast area seemed to not care much about the customers trying to get their food made and often butted right in front of people to get their jobs done, and there seemed to be a pervasive "old smoke" smell throughout the building (don't know if the property used to be or still is a smoking property).
All in all, it's an OK place if your expectations aren't 4 or 5 star. If they are, there are other properties in the area that'll more readily meet your expectations.
It was really good, even though I only stayed one night. Everything was clean, the personnel was very helpful and nice and their Internet connection was fast and easy. I really liked it there. Too bad they're in the suburbs though.
