Stayed at this hotel for my business trip last weekend (March 28th-31st) Ate in the grille one night, BBQ was amazing! Newly renovated rooms, loved the stand up shower! The breakfast girl was very friendly and made sure we got enough to eat before taking away the breakfast food. friendly staff, very clean rooms, great breakfast! Will be staying again soon and recommending this hotel to friends and family!!

"Could have been much better..."

Very convenient location to Prescott Valley and Downtown Historic Prescott. Some remodeling going on. Stayed in Room 202....newer carpet and paint. Nice patio but filthy and cigarette smoke smell from neighbors and traffic noise made it useless. No tub...just walk-in shower. Beds were comfortable but the pillows are way too soft. The TV reception was terrible...snowy and fuzzy on several stations. The cleaning staff was below average. There were several sticky dirt spots and red wine spilled on the bathroom tile floor when we arrived in the room. We stayed there for 3 nights and the bathroom floor was NEVER cleaned/wiped! The glass shower door was never wiped and the soap film just keep accumulating! Also, I always close my toiletries bag on the sink and when we came back to the room the first day--my bag was opened and my cell phone cord was in the wall by the bed! Couldn't figure out if anything was missing but I was not happy about that! Weekend breakfast was very average...not a whole lot to choose from and the hot stuff was cold and nothing got refilled right away. The scrambled eggs and sausage are not served during the week, only weekends. It is more like a continental style breakfast.

"Excellent Management"

I have never stayed at a La Quinta and, while I didn't know what to expect, I didn't have very high expectations. Non the less, my expectations were certainly exceeded. This property seemed to be recently renovated and had a very welcoming and modern feel. The rooms were clean and modern with a small balcony with a table and chairs. We stayed in a 1 bedroom king suite. This room was perfect for us because we have 2 small children so my husband and I could stay up and watch TV and talk after the kids went to sleep. It also had a mini-fridge and microwave which was very useful. We enjoyed being able to have my local family come and visit with plenty of room for everyone. Since it was winter and we were visiting from Florida, the indoor heated pool was wonderful. My children LOVE to swim and while the pool isn't overall anything spectacular, it was plenty for my 2 pre-schoolers. I was able to visit with my family who live locally while watching the kids swim. It was great having Free Breakfast. One less thing to worry about. Now, it doesn't hold a candle to an Embassy Suites breakfast but it was enough for us. It had cereal, breads and bagels, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, and make your own waffles. One morning we were there toward the end of breakfast time and before they started cleaning up, the manager came to our table and asked if everyone got enough to eat. That really stood out because I have been at hotels with free breakfast and they practically take the food out of your hand the second the breakfast window ends. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming and helpful whenever we had any questions. I had booked our room for an additional night knowing that we would probably be checking out later in the day and I didn't want to worry about the Check-out time. When we actually checked out, the girl at the front desk was having trouble getting us checked out and had to ask a manager for help. She stayed very calm and was extremely pleasant. When the manager came to help, she was also extremely pleasant and reassuring to her staff. Coming from a Hospitality background that is what stood out the most. As a manager, I understand that it can be frustrating to be interrupted for something as simple as a Check out but if she was frustrated at all, I certainly didn't see it and more importantly, her employee was reassured that her manager was there for her. While they didn't know the reason for my visit, I was in town for my brother's funeral and checked out around 5 o'clock immediately following the service. This was the day before my scheduled check-out date. I didn't even ask, and didn't even realize that they didn't charge me for the last day of my stay until after I looked at my receipt. It was this last interaction that truly made my experience excellent. Caring managers will have a caring staff and that will make your stay great, even if your stay isn't for something fun.

"Nice property, filthy and disgusting room"

I review everything on tripadvisor and have traveled all over the US and other countries. You can look at my history and see that it is rare for me to give less than 4 stars. Only reason I didn't give one star was for hot water and lush bed. First, this is now a La Quinta in case you were not informed of that. The lobby is nice and the area is beautiful but my room was a hole. It smelled like smoke and there was mold growing in the toilet bowl. The thing that really irked me as a solo female traveler was there was a hole with broken glass on one of the pictures. I looked behind the picture and the hole went as far through the wall as I could see-what the heck was that? You know, I can handle this stuff just fine if the room cost me $45/night, but not for $80+/night. Oh and the fries at the restaurant were cold and stale.

"Lovely property and great value."

We often stay at La Quintas as they're pet friendly with no additional charge. When I was booking rooms a few days prior to our Prescott arrival this property was still listed as the Wyndham Garden, but the sign outside had officially become La Quinta by our arrival. TA still does not show this property as a La Quinta, for those wanting to book with their rewards points and TA also shows the Wyndham phone # 928-777-0770 as being invalid, but it is the current LQ number and I assume TA will update their information as they get more input. It was a wonderful location, quiet, clean, newly renovated, elegant modern decor, large rooms with two comfortable chairs, desk, wi-fi, great dog areas including dirt road up the hillside out back for walks, very friendly staff and great price for the accommodation. The lobby and side of the hotel we were in had just been completely redone with large bath and bedrooms, walk-in tiled showers, hair dryers, wall mounted lighted makeup mirror, microwave, refrigerator, iron & ironing board, great beds, double windowed doors leading to private patios & balconies with wrought iron table and chairs, quiet heat/ac. The other side of the hotel was in the process of complete renovation, but we never saw any construction mess or heard any noise from it The pool and hot tub area were very nice with large outdoor patio, grill area. The also have an attached restaurant/bar that we enjoyed both evenings as it was convenient following a full day of exploration and didn't want to get back in the car. The included breakfast was pretty standard with both hot and cold items, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, etc. It was kept well stocked, immaculate and a nice area to eat. We liked everything about this hotel, were happy to have found it and will stay again, anytime we're in that area.
