A La Quinta traveler |
Staying at a La Quinta that you don't know is like taking a shot in the dark. Fortunately, this La Quinta was one of the best we've stayed at. We stay at La Quintas quite a bit because we always travel with a small dog. The check-in/check-out was fast and friendly, the property grounds were clean, and the room was very clean and updated. This hotel is also located on Cerrillo Road, which is a straight shot to trendy downtown Santa Fe. Would recommend this property to anyone traveling with a pet or anyone looking for a good value in Santa Fe.
If you are looking for a clean, quite stop over this is the place. Much more than I expected for the $. Rooms were clean, pets alowed, comfortable beds and friendly helpful staff. It was not very close to the plaza but I wasn't there for that so it didn't matter. Much better, larger and cheaper than the last place I stayed when in Santa Fe.
We stayed here with our kids while traveling through to another destination. The beds were extremely comfortable, with nice/soft bedding -- some of the best hotel beds I've slept in, honestly. The room was fairly spacious and did not feel "cramped" - (maybe this is because the beds were doubles instead of queens? I'm not sure). It also did not smell like it had been smoked in, which is increasingly hard to find in "nonsmoking" rooms these days. The bathroom was bright and clean. The coffee and breakfast offerings were average - plenty of refined carbs, some milk, yogurt, and cereal. My only complaint was that we reserved the room last minute via a mobile app, and the receptionist would not honor my AAA discount when we checked in, because the mobile app supposedly "locked the rate". The checkin receptionist was pretty terse, but the morning gentleman was jovial and friendly.
My husband and I, as well as our children and grandchildren, have enjoyed staying in La Quintas numerous times throughout the west. We appreciate the cleanliness and helpful treatment we have grown to expect. One of the draws has always been the good breakfasts which allow us to get a good and expedient start to our day. We have very much missed being able to cook our own fresh waffles for the last three stays. The toaster variety just doesn't compare. We may have to look elsewhere next time, so please get the license needed to again have a waffle iron. Thank you.
Typical LaQuinta in all respects. Average cleanliness. Average furnishings. Usual cold boiled eggs and bagels for breakfast. Met the basic requirements. Positives are comfortable beds which can always be counted upon at LaQuintas, and the fact that they accept our two cockers without an extra pet surcharge.
