My wife and I had looked forward to our stay at this new La Quinta. Instead it was a major disappoinftment.
Stained sheets and bedspread.
Difficult to use TV.
Room refrigerator leaked water all over,the floor.
No newspaper in the morning.
Lukewarm water for my Starbucks instant coffee. When I asked for hot warmer, I got another thermos of lukewarm water from a surly server.
The room was nice, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly but was short on answers for an internet problem. I solved it on my own and the wifi was free at any rate. Free cold beer in the lobby for a happy hour. Free breakfast. Not bad for Pearsall, Texas
La Quinta has an excellent staff. They are always friendly and accommodating. For long term stays, the breakfasts are adequate, but not always as healthy as I prefer. For long term stays, the breakfast variety wore thin after about a week. The rooms are fine, and pets are allowed. This hotel is often booked due to oil field workers. There is a small fitness room and a small pool. This is the best hotel in the area at the time of this review. There is a grocery store and a good restaurant (The Hungry Hunter) nearby for long-term travelers. It is also adjacent to I-35 so the location is great.

This location serves the oil and gas industry mainly, but don't let that fool you, this hotel is nice and quiet. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The pool heater was out during our stay, but they were getting it fixed. The grounds are nice and the area is clean. The price is great for the area and just slightly more than I would pay for another suite in a Dallas/Houston/San Antonio areas. The breakfast was good, but most of the guests leave before it starts. The prices in their store are really no more than a truck stop. They have plenty of parking and a truck stop close for truck parking.
Lonnie Kim and the staff are doing an outstanding job and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Friendly staff and wonderful management. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great job La Quinta Staff and Management!
