"Tiny but nice"

I stayed a single evening here on my way to Washington state and was reasonably satisfied with the value provided.
- the location is good, right next to a little park with sports diamonds and bleachers (might be noisy when in use, but it is a good distance away.) Some freeway noise, but it is across the park and cannot be heard if the A/C is running.
- the facility is clean and well-maintained and rooms are fairly new, not shop-worn at all and modern.
- refer and microwave, nice TV, single-cup coffee maker.
- close to town and bike trails, if you have your bike with you.
- nice armchair, although it is difficult to watch the TV from it. The room is clearly designed for watching TV in bed.
- staff was nice and attentive. La Quinta is pet-friendly and the clerk suggested a room on the top floor (the 4th) to avoid doggy noise. The room was very quiet and relaxing.
- Rooms are tiny. My room had a king-sized bed that took up most of the room. With the desk chair pushed under the desk there is little room to get by to the window and armchair. Sitting at the desk, the back of the chair is up against the bed.
- The bathroom is tiny, no wider than the length of the tub/shower and the sink looks like something you would find in an RV.
- Despite the small size the room does not seem claustrophobic, but I have lived in an RV, so all is relative.
- Ice machine on the second floor was broken, so getting ice involved a trip to the ground floor to find a working ice machine.
we stayed at the LaQuinta in Butte during the Montana Folk Festival for 2 days and it was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and kind, the free breakfast was excellent and nice variety, the rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and pillows and included microwave and frig in the rooms which was very helpful. I didn't have my pet with me but I was impressed that they welcome pets AND don't even charge a fee to bring them. Where do you ever see that? Nowhere but here.
This is the first time that I've stayed in a hotel that I seriously considered leaving at 2:00 a.m.! The decor was odd, hallways and common areas were dirty, there is one slow elevator servicing four floors, our room was hot and small, the air conditioning was really loud and the temperature could not be controlled properly so we had to turn it off, and the breakfast consisted of tired and recycled cereal, limited fresh fruit (only bananas), and stale and dry pastries. Also, the employees we encountered in the hallways looked as miserable as we felt! It gets better ... at about 1:45 a.m., someone was trying to get into our room and did not give up for at least half an hour. Meanwhile, the walls of this hotel are so thin that we could unfortunately hear our neighbour feeling "not so well" ... DISGUSTING!! We felt like turning on the freezing air conditioner to drown out the noise! Seriously, stay anywhere else!!
Stayed several nights at the Butte Montana LaQuinta Inn, nice comfortable rooms, good breakfast, pleasant staff and a quiet setting. Overall nicely kept building and easy to access. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
It was a pleasure to stay. Every one was very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning which had god food options. We would stay again if come to Butte MT or any other part of Country. The cost of our stay was reasonable.
