Our Ventura La Quinta room view the freeway but we experienced no noise and slept soundly. Breakfast was better than the average hotel. I was impressed with La Quinta and will use them again in other cities we visit.
Maybe the cheap price reflects how little investment the owners/managers of this property have made in this location. The motel is dated, poorly furnished, very noisy, hard to walk around, has dodgy parking lots and really ratty rooms. The bathroom appeared to be from the 1950's or 60's. The sink didn't work right. The shower was a little scary. The room curtains didn't close all the way--we used hair clips to try to close them. The beds were very marginal.
I only stayed one night. If my reservation had been for another night I would have left. There are many other negative reviews of this property--maybe the owners just don't care what people think?
The signal for wifi was very weak (we were on 3rd floor). No elevator, just stairs. Breakfast was OK. Front check-in counter staff were completely disinterested. Polite, but just barely so.
Check-in took half an hour because they couldn't find my reservation even though I showed them my confirmation email. Room was dated and only adequate. There was a strong sewage smell in the parking lot. The breakfast bar kept running out of food and was overcrowded, had to fight crowds just to pour a cup of coffee. Gave up on breakfast because there was not place left to sit and it wasn't that great anyway.
Stayed here three nights with our two dogs. Two doggie areas - one on the Victoria side and one in the back. Room was clean but needed some upgrading. Tile in the bathroom cracked near the floor. Breakfast was very average. Staff was courteous but we did not tax them with any problems. Wish there were more electrical outlets and queen beds. Four adults and two dogs on two double beds was quite a feat! Would not hesitate to stay here again. Free Wifi, too!
great deal.needs ffridge and microwave. security over aggressive. other than that I love the value and ventilation. breakfast is great!!!!!! stay away from rm 344 its uneasy spirit. the kingsize bed is way over priced
