"Quiet and Quaint"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 15, 2014

I have stayed at this motel several times over the years. I like that it is quiet and secluded, yet easy to get to. Our room had 2 double beds which accommodated four of us quite nicely. The beds were extremely comfortable and that is what counts the most. Would like to see, if they remodel, queen beds instead of the double. The bathtub was stained on the bottom from years of use, but we all took showers. Parking was plentiful and the pool area was centrally located (outdoor pool). Plenty of room for 4 sisters to get dressed and ready. Really liked the way the table was situated which allowed for more than one person to work on computers at a time. Breakfast was basically continental with the added bonus of 2 waffle makers. Would have liked to seen cranberry juice offered. But, for the value of the room, this was a good spread.

"Anniversary Trip"
5 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 3, 2014
Cuebed | Minneapolis, Minnesota
This was our first anniversary trip and the folks at the Westminster La Quinta helped make it an awesome one! I have stayed at this La Quinta before and also had a great experience then. This trip was a 6 night stay. We got there after a 14 hour drive and right when we walked in Rachel at the desk was very welcoming and helpful. She got us checked in very quick and we were at our room in no time. When we walked into the room it looked great and seemed great at first, but then I noticed a strong smoke odor. I went down to let her know and she let me look at another room before we committed to the change which the other room contained no smoke odor and that made things much better. She was very nice about it and what even more so showed their commitment to cleanliness was that she asked if we had touched anything in the room to make sure it would be in just the same shape for the next people. Definitely nice to see that. The room itself was great, no issues. It is pretty typical as hotel rooms go and I am a traveler who just cares about comfort and cleanliness and it really met both those. Only complaint I have were that the pillows were lumpy but I brought my own anyway since it can be expected for that to happen at hotels. They even provided us with a fridge and microwave for free which were very useful. As far as location goes it really depends on what you're doing in Denver. For us it worked out very nicely being somewhat close to Downtown, but also not too far from Boulder and Rocky Mountain National Park. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to many people!

"OK for the price"

Stay was ok for the price. Very noisiy though. Could hear people in the other rooms clearly. Also A/C unit worked well but was also very noisy. Ok for a short stay, but I wouldn't stay here for 9 days againm

"Not the experience I was looking for"
2 of 5 stars Reviewed Jun 30, 2014
Beavis007 | Grand Junction, Colorado
My wife and I booked this hotel on Expedia, and didn't look at the reviews. Probably should have - as the scene pulling in was not a place we would want to stay. The hotel's exterior entrances were the first clue that we were not going to be staying long, but we noticed the uplights and exterior maintenance in good repair, and thought we'd give it a shot. Upon being told our room was on the first floor, we skeptically drove to the room, where several other guests had either double parked their cars, so that we had to drag our luggage further than necessary. Next to our room, there were several guests sitting on their trucks, smoking outside our room. When we entered our room, I felt like I was in a dorm - with the white walls and dated art work. While the bed was in white, the room smelled of smoke. I phoned the desk to request a different room, but they were unable to accommodate as they said we had the last room. The staff tried to talk us out of leaving as they stated the city was full - however we found a room south and moved to another hotel. I wasn't thrilled with the experience, and won't be back.

"Great place to stay for the money"

We typically stay at this hotel when we visit the Westminster/Denver area as it is centrally located to our family, business, and day trips to the mountains. This hotel is consistency clean and affordable. It looks like they keep it in good repair. Breakfast is typically good (cereals, fruit, waffle maker, boiled eggs, coffee and juices). The staff have always been helpful to us during the mundane and even during the one time we has a special need.
