"LQ- Another Winner"

My husband and I are traveling across country for 8 weeks with our dog. So we have stayed in a number of LQ's. They are a very reliable chain. This hotel was another of their more upscale properties. We had a beautiful suite. Hotel minutes from downtown. Comp wine and beer from 7-9pm. And 100% smoke free. Friendly staff. Clean and quiet. Microwave, refridge and DVD player. Very happy with our stay.
I enjoy the consistency of the la Quinta inn and suites. The rooms are nice, the bathrooms are roomy and the beds have been comfortable. I have found an exception, however, and that is a la Quinta inn (not suites) in Minneapolis (actually Bloomington- near Mall of America ). That property was not up to La Quinta Inn and Suites. F
The staff at Bismark were cordial, but not as friendly as at other La Quintas. all three front desk ladies had piercings in their lip or nose. I realize it may be common today, but being a senior citizen , I believe appearance it still important!
We travel frequently and always with our little pug so whenever possible we choose to stay at a LaQuinta because of their easy pet policy. As a previous reviewer has stated, all LaQuintas are not created equal. We have stayed at some that were so unbearably stinky and nasty that just thinking about them still makes me nauseous, but thats for another review. LaQuinta Inn & Suites Bismarck is one of the best we have ever encountered. It is quite new, clean, fresh and they have excellent staff. At first blush it seems pricey until you factor in the excellent Presidents Reception Dinner served several nights per week from 5 to 7 pm. We stayed on a wednesday night and had chicken and fixins from Famous Dave's. They also offered beer and wine that evening. Daily breakfast was good as well. We will be back.
I stayed in this hotel for three nights recently. Everything was really nice from the decor to the breakfast. The lobby area is very attractive with a fireplace in the wall separating the entry from a lounge area. The staff provided excellent help. I'd stay there again.
I stayed here on Thursday and Saturday nights this weekend, two separate nights, two separate reservations, and each time it was top-notch.
The La Quinta business model is awesome. They charge just enough to keep things nice, but the price isn't scary to the average person. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious enough.
At the Bismarck location, the staff is friendly (although one lady that checked me in could have been warmer) and helpful. Overall, I will continue to stay at the Bismarck La Quinta.
