Hotel opened 12/31/2012. Rooms are very nice with comfortable beds. Good Internet access. A/C worked fine. The bathroom door opens out into the "foyer" of the room so be really careful if you need to get up during the night. There was no full-length mirror which is unusual. Management and staff are very friendly. I was surprised that there was apparently only one person working from Friday evening until Monday morning. It makes it very difficult to handle requests/problems since she really cannot leave the front desk. Hot water (rather, the lack thereof) is definitely an issue. Not sure what the problem is but they had not found a solution as of the last weekend in April. This is certainly an issue to be addressed. Breakfast selections were good. No Orange Juice on Sunday morning at 8 AM. According to the lady working that area, "the soldiers drank all of it". Another problem that should be addressed. Hotel is the closest to Ft Polk entrance. There is a McDonald's across the street. This is much nicer than any hotel in DeRidder and the drive to and from DeRidder is easy.

This hotel was very new and clean. No pet fee's, and 100 percent no smoking. Beds were comfortable. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. They even prepared it 2 hours early so we could get out early. Could not have been nicer.

I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was excellent, starting with the check in, the female at the front counter was very nice and professional, the maids were nice, and also I live the look of the room, I had a king suite and loved it, I would recommend this hotel, it deserves 5 stars .

We are regular LQ users, and looking forward to staying in a brand- new facility. We rented three rooms for an extended- family trip, two for three nights, one for two nights. On check in, my husband had to repeat himself multiple times to the person at the reservation desk to get us checked in. On returning from dinner, my husband and son went to bed while I took a shower. I came out of the shower to hear drilling, hammering, and yelling coming from the unfinished room next door (at 9:30 pm). I called the front desk and was assured the person on the phone would come up and and have them come back the next morning. The noise continued for 30 more minutes. Another family member who was at the front desk wehn I called reported that the person never attempted to come upstairs, but was busy flirting with a guy in the lobby. They checked the wrong room out early not once, but twice, and messed up our special room rate in the process. On Saturday morning they kept running out of food for breakfast, and we were told they could only use one burner at a time in the kitchen or the breaker would pop. All three rooms had trouble with hot water (running shower for 15+ minutes before getting any). Maybe they will eventually get all the bugs worked out, but we will be wary of this location.

My recent stay at the Leesville location was my first La Quinta experience, and a great one. The staff was extremely friendly, they went above and beyond to insure that my stay was a pleasent one. I highly recommend this hotel. Will definately stay again the next time i'm in the area.
