"You get what you pay for"

We stayed here last weekend (early April). There was a deal on Hotwire.com that came out to about $35/night. Its more like a motel than a hotel, with external entrances to your room. The room was relatively clean and a decent size. We got a roll-away bed for an extra $6/night and it made things a little cramped with a room that already has 2 full beds, but that was expected. There were a couple things that were lackluster. The bedside lamps did not seem to work and the bathroom mirror was dirty. The noise was moderate, not too bad considering the close proximity to the highways. However, if people, especially small children, walked by your door you could definitely hear it from inside your room. The A/C was a little on the loud side, but I got accustomed to it. The continental breakfast was actually better than expected. They had a waffle maker and plenty of stocked items such as fruit, muffins, bagels, and other pastries. They also has a few vending machines if you wanted to purchase soda or snacks. The front desk was friendly and seemed to be very competent. Overall, its a not bad place to stay if you just need a cheap room for the weekend.

"Great Stay"

Very Very clean but badly needs renovation to the rooms. Bath tub had slight visible mold building around the bottom of the tiles, and the chair at the desk had big stains on it, I had to put a clean towel on it before I sat on it to do paperwork. The mirror was very old that the reflecting coating behind is was staining the mirror. Great location and you get what you pay for

"Seems to have gone downhill since my last review"

This is my 4th week-long stay at the La Quinta. It's always a Priceline Express deal at $55 and the location is outstanding for my needs. But the last 2 trips have been different. First, we always used to get a king sized bed, frig, microwave and a recliner in our rooms. The beds were great. The last 2 trips we are in smaller rooms, 2 full-size (smaller than queen) beds, no frig, no microwave, no recliners. The reason is that the place is full of construction workers who have all the bigger rooms. Well, I can live with that. What I can't live with are the beds. Both my wife and I are so sore from sleeping in these beds that getting up in the morning is a real effort. I have no idea how long it will take for my chiropractor to clean up the mess. Little things - only sweet n low when they used to have Spenda and Equal, hard boiled eggs unshelled instead of shelled as before, only green bananas, really bad internet service (it's been down for 2 days now - thankfully, I can also go wireless). When I call, they can get me hooked up for a while but at such a low rate it's painful to watch. The TV is still big, ac and heat works, etc, but what was a great value has dropped to a fair value and we will be looking elsewhere on our next visit to Cyfair.

"A horrible choice for the price"
1 of 5 stars Reviewed Feb 8, 2014

Lack of hotel options in the area and new corporate projects brought prices up and suddenly you have to pay $ 99 for a hotel that usually cost $59 in other areas of Houston. I skipped pricier hotels because i was in a hurry and only needed 8 hours of stay but that was a mistake. Never again. Rooms are old and smelly, bed and shower were way below average, rooms location and lay out was typical for a cheap motel. I can not comment on breakfast because I did not try it.

"Great overnight"

The price was right, the bed was clean and comfortable and the room was pleasant. It was a great place for an overnight to visit friends in the area. Even though we were on the third floor, there was an elevator that worked well.
