A La Quinta traveler |
This LaQuinta is an all-around class act! I would absolutely not consider staying anywhere else when I am in the Cocoa Beach area. The only thing that outshines this terrific hotel and it's friendly and helpful staff is the picture-perfect view from their ocean-front rooms!
We had the opportunity to take some out of state company to Cocoa Beach from Orlando, in spite of the Tropical Storm that hit just prior to our arrival. All the kids ended up on the local news running on the beach with the waves crashing behind them, so we know how to make good of a bad situation. If your looking for a 5 star hotel, go get one and pay for it. If you want a clean room (and on the beach this is difficult anywhere), great views, walk to everything, boardwalk restaurants, something to eat in the morning without waiting and hour at a sit down place, then stay here. We started mid morning with breakfast, then beached and body surfed till the tide went out, then hit the pool and pool bar, then showered and hit the pier for happy hour and dinner, then watched the sunset from the end of the pier, then back to the room for an hour, and finally closed out the night listening to the band at the bar - great weekend.
This is a nice hotel right on the beach beside the piers. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of food. We didn't use the pool, but the pool area looked nice. The only thing to note is that if you want a true ocean view, pay for the ocean front room, because the ocean view rooms have about half ocean view and half parking lot view.
Typical LaQuinta room...basic and clean. The doors to the rooms are exterior vs. walking through the lobby to reach your room. The staff was helpful and friendly. The pool area was nice I would stay at this location again.
LQ was fine for a short visit, the ocean front room had a great view and easy access to beach; the room could use a couple of comfy chairs to watch tv and relax;also needs new sheets - too soft and pilly;service was great, people friendly and great help
