A colleague and I stayed at the La Quinta Inn in Cleveland, TX on a business trip. The mangager and the entire staff that we dealt with were extremely helpful and hospitable. The rooms were very clean, and neat....and most importantly the bed was very comfortable.
This was my first stay at a LaQuinta in at least 10 years, but WOW, they have stepped up. Nearly all LQ hotels are pet friendly & they don't charge you a silly fee or pet deposit. You simply agree that you will maintain your pet at all times & be mindful of other guests. This particular hotel was recently built in 2010, so everything is still clean & modern. The ladies at the front desk, Cathy & Polly, were so friendly and genuine. There are "bigger brand" hotels that cannot even come close to the level of front desk service that we received during our stay. They have a Starbucks machine near the lobby, an area for guest laundry, a sundry shop, pool & jacuzzi, and a nice breakfast area. We booked a King size bed with microwave & mini fridge for only $74 a night, and the room was very clean and well appointed. There was even a small card in the room, stating that Consuelo had personally cleaned & prepared it for us. As far as what is nearby, Cleveland is a small town that is beginning to grow. You will find all the basic fast food joints, along with a Wal-Mart nearby. There is no room service, but there is information on Dominos in the room. Overall, this hotel far surpassed my expectations & has made me consider staying at LQ more frequently. Thanks again to the lovely ladies on staff who made our stay pleasant!
On business for the week, I decided to take my dog along, as this is a pet friendly hotel. This was a first for he & me both. She's about 55# & is a nervous personality & very protective. The staff was very helpful & considerate as I brought her through the lobby. The room was exceptionally clean & although I heard several dogs in various rooms all areas of the hotel smelled fresh & clean at all times. Other dogs were heard occasionally as they sensed Katy in the hallway but none were disturbing to other guests. Katy was happy & content when I would return each day. Staff assisted me in checking out; they had my receipt ready once I got everything loaded. I am grateful for such compassionate & professional service. I am eager to travel & will stay at LaQuenta again.
This was a wonderful surprise when we found this elegant hotel. Large beautiful rooms, comfortable beds as well as a friendly staff. Breakfast was hot with many choices in a nice dining area. This was a great value and will definitely stay again when passing through. The location is tricky to get to off the freeway.
This is a great place to stay in Cleveland. Rooms are clean, nice and comfy. Also a big plus they are pet friendly. Employees are very friendly. Polly at the front desk was extremely nice and caring, which is such an added bonus when you are traveling. Overall great experience here!
