If possible I always prefer LaQuinta both personally and on business. The entire staff seems to try to be as friendly as possible always greeting guests with a friendly smile and hello and offering to help if a guest seems lost or needs help in any way. Their assistance to guests seems to be an opportunity to help rather than an obligation placed on them by their employer. I always enjoy La Quinta stays.
Stopped here on our way from the US to Canada. Nice room in what seemed to be a recently renovated section. They still have areas under construction but there was no problem with noise. La Quinta is one of the few chains that allow pets, so there were several guests with dogs, but again, there was no problem with noise. This was our first stay at La Quinta and found it comparable to many of the Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, and Comfort Inn rooms where we have stayed in the past.
We stopped here for the night on a road trip from Boston to Philly. Needed nothing more than a place to sleep and LA Quinta and Danbury was perfect. Right off I84. Room had two queens. Small bathroom, but we weren't in the mood for sharing a bath or shower. Nothing in the refridge but there was a water/juice soda dispenser down the hall. Breakfast was serve yourself with a collection of fruit in addition to the high carb usual stuff.
My hubby got up early and went to the gym on the first floor. I see there's a outdoor pool, but too early in June to enjoy it.
Thank you for helping us out with travels on the Metro to NY city. Also, the rooms were very spacious and clean. Maybe more upgraded toiletries in the bathroom. We will come again. Would like more fresh fruit at the breakfast, but otherwise very good. Clean and comfortable. One thing, it was hard to find even with the GPS.
This was an inexpensive place to spend the night. It's an older property but it has been renovated somewhat. The lobby is clean and new and there is an computer station and printer installed there that works well. The rooms are basic but clean. The hotel has room service from the Outback Restaurant that is attached --although I would say that the food in the restaurant is only average at best. For us it was a just place to stay over night before we headed into NYC for several days. It's within striking distance of shopping in New Jersey if that's what interests you. Check was fine. The breakfast was pretty good with some variety --but get there early if the hotel is full. Although we didn't use it, it has a nice outdoor pool and patio.
