I usually stay at another hotel when i visit family in Cleveland, however they were booked. LaQuinta was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely helpful - they allowed us to check in when we arrived at the hotel at 8:30am! The earliest I've ever been allowed to check in at a hotel was 12pm. They also had no problem cancelling my first night stay since I missed my fight. Rooms were a bit small but very clean - that's all I care about. Very nice breakfast in the morning with a nice variety. I know they also have a pool but I did not see/visit it during my visit. If your used to staying at the Ritz - this is probably not the place for you. However if you are looking for a hotel that is clean with great service I would definitely recommend this LaQuinta Inn & Suites Cleveland Airport West.
Visiting Cleveland by car you look for Interstate/Freeway access. La Quinta has it. Should you like golf too. Nearby, it is there. Need a Mall, across the road. Indoor pool is modern and kid friendly. Rooms are 2011 remodelled and very clean. FREE Wifi always handy. Great channels for the 42 LCD in the room. I had a KING bed, so a great sleep was had with my lady.
Staff area very friendly and usually know how to give directions. You have Interstate 481. That takes you to 90 and 71 to downtown Cleveland. 20 minute drive. Or if you cab it, this place gets a rate for cab $30 (plus tip)
Did a call in Pizza delivered to the room. They have a room ad. Medium pizza 3 toppings and delivered with Tip $23. Great deal for the tired traveler...
A self-serve FREE breakfast at 6am - 10am. Mixed in with the easy suger food, is good prepared food, and healthly fruit. IMPORTANT - this is very high end ECONOMY so you save $$ staying here and it is worth it. Gas stations, major restaurant chains are nearby.
Visiting downtown Cleveland is your easiest destination you should consider this easy to find location. One funny driving note, the road into the La Quinta will not let you turn left into it, so you usually U turn at the traffic light. Even Google direction say this? Hope the town changes that soon..
Great location...Very clean & 100% smoke free...Safe area...large LG tv...good breakfast...friendly staff...Shopping mall, restraunts & Wal-Mart accross the street (what else do you need?)...less than a half hour from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The staff was terrific, reservations were easy to make, and the rooms were clean and inviting. The cancellation policy was so much more flexible, and the rates were reasonable. My only suggestion is that online reservations include the option to designate one or two beds in a room. For the price range, this hotel is my new favorite. I love this chain -- and will stay at one again.
I stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend and was very happy with the price, the room, cleanliness of the room, breakfast area, etc. and with the attitude of the staff. From making my reservation, to calling me to make sure their shuttle driver had found me at the airport, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The fact free airport shuttle service (12 minutes from airport) was available was a huge plus for me. I was in town for a reunion and other attendees gave me all the rides I needed. The shuttle service let me save car rental or taxi money that I would have otherwise had to spend. The breakfast here compared very well to that of similar hotels that also provide breakfast. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to invest in better pillows, though nothing was wrong with the 5(!) provided on my king size bed.
