I made reservations for myself and three of my fellow peers at the Plainfield, IN - LaQuinta Inn.
We found our rooms to be clean, the service - great, and only a short distance from the Primo West Banquet Facility - our conference location.
We were happy with our choice and would stay in this hotel again.
...the bad pillows made sleeping so difficult that I can only give this property an "average" rating. I am not a picky guest, and am a LaQuinta Returns member who is usually quite satisfied with LQ properties, but the small, lumpy, overstuffed pillows were ridiculously uncomfortable. Also, there was a HUGE crack from floor to ceiling in one of the walls of our room (as if the foundation had shifted), which made me question the structural soundness of the building. A few more cons (minor): Only two towels were provided although four is usually the norm for a room with two guests, the large, fluorescent lighting fixture over the mirror created shadows that made make-up application difficult, the hair dryer was far from the mirror, so the cord was barely long enough, and no one was at the front desk when we arrived mid-evening, so a maintenance man had to go to the back to find someone to check us in. On the plus side, the large, flat-screen TV was nice, the room and lobby were very clean, breakfast was decent, and the location was convenient to my husband's meeting in Mooresville.
I walked in and was handed my room keys. Our room was huge and clean. My wife and I have 3 children under 5 and they had a blast. Two of them loved the pool, which we had all to ourselves on a Saturday night! Breakfast buffet was above average. Really very impressed with our whole experience. Will stay here again next time we're in town.
Highly recommend this Hotel.. Very nice. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Airport and major shopping. Nice modern rooms with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was included and was a nice option. It wasnt oder by menu but was all we needed. The front desk went all out to make sure we had all we needed. I will definitely stay here again when I need a room in Indianapolis.
We have been very satisfied with the La Quinta chain for both quality and value. However, I must add two caveats for this property:
1. We arrived at 01:00 and were advised by the night manager that she was unable to find either of their TWO carts for us to move luggage to our 4th floor room. Unsatisfactory preparation for a hotel of this size. (We were at a smaller La Quinta the night before, and they had three).
2. Breakfast concludes here at 09:00, 30 minutes earlier than any other LQ at which we have stayed. See late arrival above -- we didn't make closing time here!
