"Decent Room, but reaked of cigarette smoke"

The room wasn't terrible, it was decent, and clean. However, it smelled so strongly of smoke that I woke up several times from the smell. Even my husband (who smokes outside only) said it was really bad. Even though the room was clean, the room just felt dirty because of the smell :(
The night clerk also gave us terrible parking instructions and the rooms are numbered quite strangely.
For $90 + taxes, I didn't feel like this was a good value. This was more of a $60-$75 (at most) per night experience. We later stayed at The Hyatt Place in Colorado Springs for $72/night, and it was heads and shoulders above La Quinta for the price.
My wife and I stayed at this La Quinta for a couple days because our home was being renovated. We were going to stay at another hotel. Comparing the prices, this one was significantly less than any others nearby. Once we got there, we were impressed by all we got for money we spent. The room was huge and clean. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was tasty.
The one issue we had was the room was kind of warm for our tastes. We think it is because of the remodeling the hotel was doing caused us to not have the ability to change the temperature. That won't stop us having La Quinta hotels at the top of our list for places to stay.
Once again we were very happy with our La Quinta experience. The desk clerk accommodated us with a (very) early check in, we were attending a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre which was only about 10 min away. The hotel is currently being renovated so is not as up to date as some other LQ locations, but the room was very adequate. We are becoming LQ regulars because of its reliability. The only consistent issue is the quality of the coffee.
I'm a sucker for vintage style hotels with updated rooms, and this one fit the bill. The exterior was bright and friendly, and the rooms were updated with all I would expect from a La Quinta Inn. The beds were comfortable, and I slept without any noise interruptions.
The service was exceptional! I landed here at 2am after a series of mishaps, including my original accommodations not working as planned. In my frantic call to hotels in the area, this was the only one that answered with a friendly voice who told me not to worry before giving me pricing and availability. The other hotels grunted their prices and gave the impression I was bothering them. I was greeted with the same friendly service in the morning upon checking out.
I never expected to spend the night here, but I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.
"This is an excellent option for the Lakewood/Golden area"

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past 10 years or so. Never have had a problem with reservations, service, or room cleanliness and amenities. Staff is friendly and always willing to help with special requests. The location is great: close to shopping malls, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Very good parking facilities, even for very large vehicles.
I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for reasonably priced accommodation.
