We got a cheap rate and expected a typical "get what you pay for" night. We were pleasantly surprised to find a finely-decorated hotel (not the usual La Quinta style). Breakfast selections were good for a budget hotel. And though it's located right off an Interstate, there's an earthen berm between the highway & the hotel that made it a quiet place to stay. Much better than we expected & therefore recommended.
Absolutely worth every penny, the management team very hands on. Melanie , assistant GM is one of a kind, very kind caring and values her guests. She is the mother touch of the hotel, she makes sure you are comfortable. rooms are very clean. very modern and comfy beds, Breakfast area very clean with fresh food. they really know how to serve their guests
As a first time visitor to this area we loved this hotel. It was easy to find, clean, quiet and had quick access to the college and surrounding attractions. Breakfast was plentiful and friendly. Dog guests were well behaved and brought a smile to those of us who left our dogs at home. We will definitely stay here again.
The La Quinta hotel in Roanoke Salem, VA is one of the best in the chain. The hotel itself along with the management are terrific. My wife and I and our two little dogs stay here whenever we are travelling south to Florida. It is the mid point of our drive and we look forward to relaxing and enjoying our stay even though it is only for one night each time. I would recommend this hotel as one of the best. La Quinta does a great job with all their hotels however this one stands out against the others for cleanliness, service and friendliness.
We stopped here on our way back to NJ from ATL- convenient location right off 81. We were upgraded to a suite thanks to my husband's Elite status and the room was tastefully furnished and looked recently renovated. The breakfast area/lobby is furnished in a retro 50's motif. Dorothy the breakfast attendant was super nice and made sure everyone was taken care of. Would definitely come back again!
