I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this hotel. It wasn't on the beach, but due to the cleanliness, friendliness of the staff great breakfast and comfort of the room it didn't matter. I have nothing negative to say about our stay at this hotel.

At the last minute we decided to go to Panama City a day earlier to look around ourselves before picking my daughter and grandson up at the airport there and going on a vacation with them. As a truck driver nationally, my husband stays in many hotels across the US and he has point cards for many of them, including La Quinta Inns & their affiliate hotels. Since this one was located only blocks from Pier Park, this is why we chose it. We arrived later than we wanted to, it was dark and rainy, but Jerry's huge smile and cheeriness set us off to a very good night in PC! We wanted to eat at a local restaurant, not the chains, and he recommended the only 3 in PC and we chose the Salt Water Grill....excellent choice!! Atmosphere was fab with a HUGE indoor aquarium, quaint decor and even a bar pianist playing!! Seafood we chose was out of this world, cooked to perfection and the service was great. We even got to meet the owner as he left. Due to the inclement weather, there were some cancellations that night....to our advantage though! When we discovered our room was on the back top floor, I called down to Jerry to see if there were any cancellations in the rooms in the front so we could enjoy the Gulf view. Not only was there one directly across from our room, it was a suite Jerry upgraded us free of charge!! Just added to our great night!! We have never been to Pier Park (only 5 yrs old), so wanted to see what all the fuss was about it!! We spent 5 hours there until the shops started closing. Unknown to us, it was also Bikers Week in PC, so there were 100s of Bikers there, showing off their magnificent bikes along the main street of Pier Park!! It was a super night between our great La Quinta room, the fab dinner and the great fun at Pier Park. We stayed the next 5 days in Watercolor Beach where my dgtr already had reservations, but we came back over to PC & Pier Park just about every day....each time going by the La Quinta Inn and saying how we will always stay there when we plan on coming for many weekends to come this summer!! second La Quinta in two days. first in Pensacola, and then this one. Huge difference! Room was nice, smelled and looked good. Shower allowed me to stand fully! Breakfast rivaled a lot of small restaraunt buffets. The La Quinta chain saved its image...Had I only of beeb to the Pensacola one, I would of been tempted to cross them all off.

We like La Quinta Inns since we love to take car trips with our three dogs and they are the most pet-friendly hotel chain. This trip was the least satisfying for the following reasons: 1. although our room was on the ground level, it was far from the door to the outside, making walking the dogs less convenient; 2. the late-night carousing of the students on break kept our nervous yorkie upset and he, in turn, disturbed folks in nearby rooms (as a result, I had to take him out to the car for the rest of the night - in the rain, in my pajamas). On the positive side, the breakfast was especially generous with sausage and eggs in addition to the usual fare.

This hotel was WONDERFUL!!!! A group of four of us stayed here overnight after a Ladies Weekend. The price of the rooms was very reasonable.This hotel is located on a main strip of restaurants, stores and entertainment. The hotel was very accommodating and allowed our group to check in hours early which was perfect because we tired and wanted to relax from a busy weekend. They offer a great business center which has full internet capabilities and printer abilities. We were to early check in for our flight and print our boarding pass. .The room were very clean and spacious. The pool was relaxing and the hot tub was the right temperature. James, the guy at the front desk was very helpful in recommending a place directly across the street for us to dine for dinner. Salty Sue's also of which I wrote a review. The Smoke Wings were excellent!! We will be staying here again when we return to the area.
