Nothing too special, but certainly not bad either. It was clean. Location is a little odd since their parking lot shares with a retail strip. Fitness room was nothing too amazing. Overall, pretty average hotel.
I have stayed at this motel twice. The first time was two years ago and the last time was recently. I found no change in how this motel had been taken care of over the two years. The facilities are very clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The building is quiet and close to I-69 and restaurants. The parking lot is shared with a strip mall but I always found a place near the entrance to park. I would recommend you give this location a try if you are in the area.
We booked this room on hotwire for $60. The hotel does not provide even a $60 per night level of service. We checked in late and were put in a room that was recently switched from smoking to non smoking. It still smelled like old smoke, had a born on the sunk, and a burn on the stained and torn bedding. They kindly offered to move us to another room...it smelled strongly of lemon deodorizer, the furniture was wet from the spray. They not so kindly agreed to move us (with our three young children, one in tears from being so tired) to another room. It smelled like a gym locker room and the lemon deodorizer. The linens were stained, torn and thread bare. It was 11:30 pm and we need to sleep. Please choose another hotel. Do not stay here.
The price was one of the better parts of this stay. The room was clean (I love the wood floors in the bath and sink area) but worn and weary. The recliner (nice idea) had a tear in it by the armrest. The bed skirt had a MAJOR tear in it and it was just hanging there. The coffee maker is the type that you brew one cup at a time and there was only one filter pack (one cup). This property would benefit from replacing and fixing. No need for a redo of the whole place. Simple replace worn things.
My wife and I spent a weekend here recently. The room was clean; the staff, friendly; the complimentary breakfast, more than we could ask for for free. We travel with our two dogs and loved that there was no pet fee. But somewhere on another floor, another guest left their dog unattended for at least 10 hours, and their dog was not happy. Sound sometimes travels better through plumbing access ducts, that isn't the issue. We addressed our concerns with the desk staff who were very understanding, but outside of trying to contact the guests on their cell phone, there wasn't much they could do (per the hotel's pet policy). I wouldn't want someone else coming into my room while I was gone, other than the cleaning staff. But I wouldn't want my dogs' crying annoying and/or worrying other guests, either. I appreciate the reasoning of the pet policy but I think it's time to have it revisited. There's nothing worse for a dog parent to hear than a crying fur baby who can't be comforted in a strange place.
