As long as you request a room at the back, away from Route 5, you'll have a very quiet night. Slept very very soundly! Terrific black-out curtains, too. Late check out provided. Breakfast wasn't thrilling but certainly better than nothing! Tea, coffee, yogurt, cereal, toast, even toaster waffles...unfortunately the oranges had mold on them though. The pool was in shade in the afternoon but on a hot, hot Stockton day that probably wouldn't matter...it wasn't very hot when I was there so I missed out. Bed very comfortable. Room fairly large for a travellers' hotel.
We had a big clean room with a large bathroom. Breakfast was small but hit the spot. Beds were comfortable and we slept very well, though the beds were a little small and the room could easily fit two queens. A very quiet night. We'd happily stay here again!
The room was clean and had all of the amenities that the hotel offered. The staff was friendly and quick to check me in and out. They took the time to refer me to a side of the hotel without a lot of kids, given my age, and that I did not have kids with me. This I appreciated very much. Also the beds were clean and comfortable, unlike many hotels I've stayed at, the bed and bedding seemed fresh and not worn. That was very important to me. I felt though, that the carpets may have needed to be cleaned better, shampooed.
My wife and I have staid here with 2 pets twice in the past 7 months ( May 2014 and Dec. 2013). If you are looking for a very reasonable comfortable basic room in a Stockton facility that takes pets this is it. And if you want a reasonable, quality family restaurant, you have two to choose from, a very short walk next door. We have eaten at one, The Spaghetti Factory, which serves excellent food. In short you get a great dinner, continental breakfast and hotel room for what you would pay for the room alone in other comparable facilities. The Inn is located behind a bank and restaurant on the street. Look for the Lighted Sign and lobby entrance.

I stayed at La Quinta Inns across the country while driving to CA from MA with my two cats. This hotel had no problem with them. I had a quiet stay in a ground-floor room, and I got to do my laundry in their strangely outdoor laundry machines. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Air conditioning was working and very welcome.
As for dining, two inexpensive restaurants share the same parking lot, and many more are close by. You get a discount at the restaurants if you are a hotel guest. There is also a Starbucks and an In-N-Out Burger within walking distance.
As for the location: When I got here, I didn't know Stockton from Timbuktu, but I had heard it was an unsafe place. Well, I live here now, and the city IS unsafe, but West March Lane (the location of this hotel) is in the safest part of town. Being just west of I-5 makes it even less unsafe, too, since most of the city lies to the east of the highway.
All in all, if I did not now live in Stockton, I would definitely stay here again.
