For some reason, we skipped this place for a few years but came back this year and were glad we did. It's a good place, clean with efficient staff. The morning breakfast is standard stuff. For dog persons, there are great places to walk your animals. We didn't try the new restaurant but it is a real plus for this location.
Nice clean room -bed was very comfortable- room quiet and great shower Check in was very efficient and price was good The restaurant in the courtyard has recently reopened and had a good menu selection
Clean basic motel. Good price. Breakfast was included but disappointing. Juice, weak coffee and dry cereal. I could have made waffles but seemed like too much work. Good location with large field nearby for dog use.
Had a very relaxing overnight stay. Bed was very comfortable and really liked it was a non-smoking hotel. Be sure to use AARP or others for best price. Breakfast was great-especially biscuits and gravy.
My family and I were heading back home in northern California from Flagstaff. We did not want to stay in Bakersfield and found a great rate on a room here in Tehachapi. We had stopped at a park on our way through town at th beginning of our vacation so we knew what we were getting before arrival. I beleive this property was something else before La Quinta purchased it. Since we had stayed at a La Quinta back in December we knew what the company offered. It is on the east side of town, removed from downtown by a few minute drive but it is right off the highway and near the train tracks. Full disclosure, all of town is near the train tracks!!! The room was mostly clean, towels were OK and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast is what they advertise so no issues there. I did spend a bit of time in the hot tub after the kids were down and it felt great. It was March so the pool felt cool but after a day on the road the hot tub was wonderful. We would consider staying again if the price was still competative. But, we are not sold on it for a future stay.
