A La Quinta traveler |
Brand new everything was great. Check in was fast & attendent was familiar with surrounding restaurants. Gave a good recommendation for dinner. Which was very close to the hotel. Good value for price. Also has a good location to a number of sea side sights.
My family stayed here to use it as a home base for traveling around Mystic and Newport, RI. I was able to use my La Quinta points here which made the trip very affordable. We enjoyed our stay very much -- staff was friendly, the room was comfortable, and the hotel takes their quiet hours seriously, which is also a plus. My son enjoyed having the pool practically to himself every night, and he loved the breakfast. Some minor negatives to mention: I have been to a bunch of La Quintas, and this particular hotel could have a little more variety other than all-grain/dough products for their breakfast (waffles, oatmeal, muffins, toast, bagels). I understand space limitations in the eating space might not allow for adding scrambled eggs or bacon/sausage, but other similarly-sized La Quintas do have these and they have more fruit than just apples. Just a thought. Also, the fridges do not have a freezer compartment like other micro-fridges, and our particular micro-fridge struggled to keep things cold.
All in all, however, these criticisms are minor, and staying at this hotel for 8 nights was a very good option for my family.
Great Hotel for extended stay. We were there for about a month and as hard as it was being in a small room for all that time, the staff made it very comfortable for us. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were very nice with good water pressure in the shower. The continental breakfast was great, fresh muffins and bagels, etc. Mukesh the manager and Bill the Asst. Manager were incredibly friendly, helpful and always had a smile. The indoor pool area was really nice. There were showers in the pool room which was nice after a swim. The fitness room had great equipment in it for cadio or if you wanted a weight machine, you were all set. I would highly recommend it for couples, business or a family stay.
My Family and I have being going to the N.Stonington La Quinta since they opened their doors. The Staff are really the BEST!!. They are all way's there to help. On my last visit there I had a medical issue and they forwarded me to get help very quickly as I needed it. God willing I hope to go there many more times in the future.. We travel from NYC to La Quinta here to see the shows at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun and we also travel to R.I. to see shows which is very ease to get too.
Great hotel in a wonderful location. We stayed for one night to celebrate out 5 year anniversary. We had stayed there 2 years ago . The hotel is located near all major attractions foxwoods casino , beach and mystic . We had a large suite which was like a mini apartment . The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!
