"inexpensive place to stay"

Rooms were clean but need new towels. Hallway carpet old, needs redo. Outside needs painting, updating. Breakfast area needs updating & menu expanded. We ate in many of the great places in Fort Collins. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful as I changed part of me reservation and they were able to accommodate me without my having to go back online, keeping the dates and prices. Once this place is updated it will be much better. Very close to the I-25, about 10 min from the university and downtown area. Lots of truckers stop in this area.
The price was good and our room was clean and the beds comfortable but if you stay I would recommend the second floor, we stayed on the first floor and it sounded like the US Gymnastic team was practicing above us, it was awful! The security is poor, the doors would continually be probed open with a stone so they would not have to use the key, not sure who was coming and going. The house keeping staff not the friendlies and very slow, we stayed for 10 days and when we would return to our room at 3:30pm it still had not been cleaned. On the plus side there is no service charge for animals, and there were a lot of dogs.
"Great rooms, friendly staff, not firearm friendly."

I stayed in this hotel after coming up because my aunt passed away, Everything was great, food, rooms, everything. I asked what their firearms policy was just to see what it was and they said they much remained locked in your car, which to me just equals more danger as it is no longer in your control.
But that is the only bad thing I can say about this facility but that makes me probably going to go somewhere else next time.
I had just moved to co from va and was waiting for my condo to be ready, my dog had just had surgery and was spotting a little blood (I have picks of how little) my kids and I got kicked out by the rude lying staff because of excessive blood. The housekeepers lied and management wouldn't even check the room out so I took lots of pictures. There was only 3 spots of blood on a sheet but according to housekeeping the bathroom was covered in blood even though there wasn't a drop of blood anywhere but on one sheet. Thank goodness days inn next door took us in and it's much nicer.
"FIRST TIME IN FORT COLLINS - THE STAFF HERE HAS MADE IT GREAT!"

I checked in late Sunday night. A last minute opportunity came up here in Fort Collins. I have had a crazy schedule trying to get things in order for my business. The staff here alleviated so much potential for stress with their collective "can-do" attitude and a genuine desire to treat their customers with world-class hospitality. I've been treated like a "guest" here as opposed to just a "customer".
They've been flexible with last minute changes and handle anything that comes up with grace and class. I have stayed in many hotels in many countries and the staff of Vanessa,Jack and Hannah are at the top of the list in their hospitality and professionalism. Kudo's to management!
PS - they are even competitively priced. Their walk in rates are as good or better than when I booked the first night on Travelocity...
