"FIRST TIME IN FORT COLLINS - THE STAFF HERE HAS MADE IT GREAT!"
Reviewed Aug 14, 2014

I checked in late Sunday night. A last minute opportunity came up here in Fort Collins. I have had a crazy schedule trying to get things in order for my business. The staff here alleviated so much potential for stress with their collective "can-do" attitude and a genuine desire to treat their customers with world-class hospitality. I've been treated like a "guest" here as opposed to just a "customer".
They've been flexible with last minute changes and handle anything that comes up with grace and class. I have stayed in many hotels in many countries and the staff of Vanessa,Jack and Hannah are at the top of the list in their hospitality and professionalism. Kudo's to management!
PS - they are even competitively priced. Their walk in rates are as good or better than when I booked the first night on Travelocity...
It seems I was lucky and avoided some of the partiers others have mentioned. The inside of the rooms were dressed up and felt like a LaQuinta. Otherwise, the hotel seemed like something lesser. The layout is odd and with it stretched out, I can see why it might create some issues with people gathering.
I was pleased to be able to check in early and extend my check out an hour so I can't complain about the management.
As for the location, I think this is the biggest challenge for the hotel. It is conveniently off Hwy 25. However, nothing else is right here so expect to travel a bit to go to a restaurant or attraction. This location is frankly probably more likely to attract the riff-raff that is mentioned in other reviews. Fort Collins is a big and beautiful area. You might want to be more central to the newer parts of town.

unless you like guests walking the halls with booze in their hands and another smoking pot in the parking lot...but, that's right I forgot, it's Colorado.....
if you are a woman (or women) traveling alone, I would definetly stay somewhere else...... we did.
This La Quinta Inn was in a nice location. Near the freeway and a short drive (a couple of miles) to Ft. Collins, it's location was perfect for us. The room was clean and the breakfast was standard La Quinta. My big issue was the noise. In the morning I could clearly hear the couple in the next room even when they were speaking in normal, to lower, voice levels. I could even hear the snapping of their suitcase latches. I'm a pretty sound sleeper, so if you are not, I'd not stay here as there are other choices.
My mother is traveling with me cross country for a medical conference and we are returning through Colorado. We booked a room at this hotel based on price and decent reviews (these most recent ones weren't up yet). On arrival, the front lobby area looks decent like in the picture, but the part where the rooms are looks more like low income apartments. We were given a downstairs room beside the end stairwell. The room itself was quite nice inside, but the hall was dim and musty. It was horribly noisy with workers coming in and out the door and clomping up and down the stairs loudly every few minutes. On our way out to dinner, we went out the stairwell and passed several men/ workers outside drinking and one smoking marijuana in the parking area. We approached the lobby and asked the women there how late that door and stairwell usually stay loud because it had been so disturbing. There was a man walking around the lobby talking to them with a glass beer bottle in his hand, obviously well on his way to being intoxicated. The hotel restaurant wasn't open, so it wasn't from there.... They nonchalantly told me the workers were changing shifts, that's why it was loud and it should calm down. There was no concern over the drinking, marijuana (it's Colorado I guess?), or our safety and comfort concerns. They didn't offer to move us, or even offer up "we don't have any other rooms." It was more like they just didn't care. We ended up leaving the hotel and telling them we wanted our money back because we felt unsafe. I asked the lady at the desk for the hotel manager's name so I could speak with him the next day and she told me it was Sunny, but she "didn't know his last name because he isn't from around there." How do you not know/ not have access to your boss's name?..... I really suggest unless you are a worker looking for a place to stay you avoid this hotel.
