"First time at La Quinta"
Reviewed May 21, 2013

This was our first time at a La Quinta. Having our dog with us made local hotel selection a bit tricky but La Quinta accepts pets and we were pleasantly surprised. The facility looked new, was clean, and smelled very fresh. There was also ample and safe areas to walk the dog day and night. The pool area was also very clean and enjoyable; no one else used it while we were there so we had it all to ourselves. The front guest staff at night was exceptionally warm and welcoming. The only issue we encountered was during breakfast--while the assortment was abundant, apparently, when certain items run out, they do not replace them so if you had your heart set on pancakes and they ran out at 8:10 (and breakfast is supposed to last until 9am), you are out of luck.
Stayed two nights as part of our trip to Yellowstone. We had previously stayed at the La Quinta at Salt Lake City airport so knew what to expect and this one was just as good - nice rooms and facilities (made good use of the guest diy laundry facilities on our floor). Its about a half an hour walk into town so we took a taxi back having found one of the few bars that was open on a Sunday. Great value for money and to be recommended.
I had called in to make a reservation for over memorial day weekend and the front desk clerk made the reservation for the wrong weekend while making an error in my email address. As a result, I was charged for the no-show night. The fact that this is seen as 'okay' by company policy is an example of institutional deviance. Practices like that marginalize the lower class. This was only the 2nd time I had even made a hotel reservation in my life because I come from a very poor family. As a college student I am trying to lift myself out of poverty, but because corporations have policys that target individuals who may be new to business transactions I have found myself significantly at a disadvantage when it comes to practices like this one. To top it off, the manager was very rude and blindly obeyed such a discriminatory policy- not even offering to credit any of the money back. Please choose a local, non-bureaucratic hotel for your stay in Bozeman.
Best La Quinta we'ved been to yet! We stayed on a Sunday night, $70-$80ish rate, with 2 dogs. Our stay started with a very friendly helpful front desk worker, which is ALWAYS appreciated! Hotel was very modern and clean, newer. Room 111 had very high ceilings, which makes a room feel bigger and more comfortable. Our room was next to the main road, didn't notice any noise, though I usually don't because it doesn't bother me. Saw 5 other dog families, only heard one little chihuahua bark during the evening (as in one actual bark). I'm always amazed that this chain provides such clean rooms that you know have had many dogs in them with no additional charge. Does anyone else hate paying crazy pet fees for "additional cleaning" and then finding your room less than clean? Headed to brkfst now..looks standard. Also the pool was open all night for adults. Thought that was a nice touch. Nothing worse than arriving to hotel after long day of driving to miss hot tub hours! Rated location average because it was a safe area, but not a lot of restaurants right next door. Well done La Quinta!
This is a newish hotel, well decorated and with spotless room and bathroom. Better pillows than usual and bed very comfortable. Would have given 5 stars but breakfast was poor, fewer choices than at other hotels and dining room was small and full and we had to eat in the foyer.
